Interviewer: can you explain this gap in your resume? Illustrator: That’s called negative space. It gives the composition some breathing room and draws focus onto the parts of the image that are important to the idea that is being conveyed.

Dire Straits are FUMMIN after they found out that the pencil-necked desk jockeys at the council are planning to introduce parking restrictions on the Telegraph Road. “We’re going to have to leave our cars So Far Away,” muscle-bound Geordie strummer Mark Knopfler says.

#31daysofgraves humor (humour) is the topic today. Once there was a post, by a claimed #taphophile, amazed to find a monument shaped like a tree (very common in the Midwest) It’s our private joke now- OMG COME OVER HERE, THAT ONE LOOKS LIKE A TREE!!! #cemetery #headstone #gravestone

Reading about selection effects in exoplanet samples, including P distributions Guy who looks at election polls all day: This is a lot like selecting for GOP wave years like 2022 and 2024 in polls in 2026 when those don't reflect the real electorate.

Years ago I noticed how the times of day that right-wing trolls were active looked a lot like Moscow working hours. And also how occasionally when I replied to them in Russian, they replied back to me in Russian too. When I talked about this, I was called paranoid. Freely admitted; doesn't mean I was wrong.

Have you seen the Dr. pepper commercial where the refs were pulled into a police lineup? "It was him," cried the fan. The ref says "Cry me a river". When what he was really thinking was "I just made six grand". The #NFL has a gambling problem.

underground hip-hop is a very weird microgenre because it contains both dudes whose main aesthetic inspiration was avant-garde electronica that sounds like cutting yourself and also dudes whose main aesthetic inspiration is they might be giants

  10. Fantasy Worldbuilding advice: You actually DON'T need to know how many sheep exist in fantasyland before writing a novel or running a campaign in it. You have a "Go Outisde" Problem. It can be fixed by simply talking to other people who don't look and think like you. You know we synthesize wool?

A commercial that starts out with a woman saying “my first memory of food is my mom taking food away at 5 and obsessing over my weight. Since then, I’ve thought about my weight every day” I was so stoked for it to be about how she realized her mom was an asshole…nope! GLP-1s on Medicare commercial

In my first year of university I had what I thought was a balanced diet of 5 pints of Guinness a day (spread out) accompanied by 5 packets of dry roasted peanuts. That was all. All was good until Easter when the pub wasn't opened and I shook like a leaf. Not drunk a pint since.

I created 9 AI personas to test a product I'm building. 8 users with different roles + one very mean and judgy Internet tech review journalist. Absolutely amazing results... They drove the product using the Web UI, CLI, and through terraform and didn't hold back. UX epic incoming. 😂
