Kinda gotten over the lost already. The one humorous thing that I can take from this game is with Trot Jr. getting ejected before playing one defensive down, the Trotters are probably the only father/son combo to have done that. On to next week. #GoBirds🦅

Have you seen the Dr. pepper commercial where the refs were pulled into a police lineup? "It was him," cried the fan. The ref says "Cry me a river". When what he was really thinking was "I just made six grand". The #NFL has a gambling problem.
Ive never understood the rule that the ball is spotted where it goes out of bounds. What if someone caught a pass where the ball was OOB but his feet are in? Is the end zone rule different because the end zone line goes around the world? What if the ball crosses the end zone line while OOB?
Well, I won't try to downplay a huge win for San Francisco in some way, they were the victors and are clearly the best team in the NFL, bar none. But this is a clear warning to all other teams: underestimate the defending Super Bowl Champion Seahawks at your own risk, they were absolute warriors.
I mean, you can be rightfully angry that the NFL doesn't have a sideline cam lined up to give it certainty, but it looks like he didn't extend till after the ball was on the line. That's where the ball gets spotted, extending it after the ball is already out of bounds doesn't change the spot.
my persistent theory of the NFL is that only 1 cat team is is allowed to be good at a given time. this year, it’s the Jags
Since the NFL added overtime to the regular season in 1974 there has never been a week with two tie games.
The Cardinals (and the Cubs once every 100 years) are the only NL Central team allowed to succeed in the playoffs
A balk is vibes. A check swing appealed to the 1st or 3rd base ump is vibes. And you know what? That’s fine. An NFL catch should be vibes too sometimes.
I learned something about NFL out of bounds rules today, I guess. I think it's pretty likely that the reach across the line was successful, but I also don't know how you could possibly tell with real confidence from the angles we saw.
It's quite amusing that both the NFL and MLB broadcasts have mentioned the swirling winds being a factor. Both games are in stadiums with retractable roofs that are inexplicably open.
The NFL has proven to me, I have no idea what a first down is. Not out of bounds, leap pasts the 1st down marker... short of first down.
A lot of NFL teams have gimmicks/traditions for how they start the game (raising a flag, banging a drum, etc) and I think the Eagles should too. Every home game, they should have someone line up to kick Nick Sirianni square in the nuts.
I wonder how many fans are lost by tanking teams that just never come back. I've had so much less interest in the NFL this year because my team had absolutely no hope (or even intention of having hope) from the beginning. Some people in this situation must just stop watching forever.
Once a week there’s an NFL ruling that makes me think. No, that’s not a rule. You just made that up. I thought it your feet weren’t out you could reach. Pane of glass where the ball goes out my ass.
They should have brought NFL refs over to England instead of trying to explain to soccer refs how American football works over the last week.
The Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies have combined for 10 losses and precisely zero wins since October 1. Hell yeah.
How great is Nick Sirianni’s culture setting when a key player is disqualified on the first play of the game - for the 2nd consecutive year?
it would be awesome if the NFL had some kind of tech like sensors in the ball that could determine the point at which the ball went over an imaginary plane
I believe the Arizona Cardinals have the worst home record in the NFL since they hosted the Nazi party for their little rally.
What a game. 49ers obviously #1 team in the NFL having beaten 3 out of 4 of last years conference game teams.
If I was running an NFL team I wouldn't attach my success to left handed quarterbacks who threw complete muffins even when the try to grip it and rip it
I'm clearly not as smart as offensive coordinators in the NFL but if the running game is going great and the passing game is ass... I would run the ball until they could stop it.
someday, somewhere, an NFL/college football coach will heed my counsel: 6'10" wideouts
fuck the niners but I don't think that was a first. ball crossed over the white line before it cleared the line to gain, or so it looked from what they showed on TV
This #49ers team officially has me excited. Today was an ugly, scrappy, messy game. The hate between the 2 teams is real. And somehow we stayed in it and got the W. Showed me we want this. Let’s go!!!!
Unfuckingbelievable we just got fucked by a geriatric official making a judgement call of an inch and the NFL being fucking terrified of saying their officials are wrong.
The Peanut Punch might be the most impactful move of the last 30 years of NFL play.
That doesn't look like a first and I don't see any angle that shows definitively that it is one The fact that the NFL doesn't have down the line views in 2026 is insane
Holy shit. I think if that was called a first down it would have also stood that way. Impossible to see enough to overturn. Phew.
This Baltimore drive is why you take the ball in NFL OT.
You have the lead and the ball, and considering the offensive sloppiness early on and the up-and-down nature of the run defense, I'll more than take that
It's very funny that a guy can be a total fucking bum who sucks shit in the NFL and also one of the greatest athletes to ever live. If you simply stood next to him in real life you would die.
My entire NFL shit list is just teams I don’t care about led by QBs who I hope get their knees destroyed.
Can we go back to sudden death in OT? Also can we make OT fifteen minutes again? All this bullshit because Josh Allen didn’t get a possession in a playoff game in 2022.
Today is an object lesson that it’s hard to win games in the NFL.
The easiest answer is Sirianni to manage the Phillies, Tocchet the Eagles, and Mattingly the Flyers.
It never made sense once the NFL went to each team is guaranteed a possession in overtime to leave it at 10 minutes
Ryan Richter: I'LL COACH 'EM ALL, I'M HARDCORE
I'd say "I'll never doubt them again" but that would be a lie But I'm still DELIGHTED with the win
NFL needs some sort of gps spotting of the football because these refs absolutely cannot do it
Tom Brady is to NFL comms what Stephen Craigan* is to SPFL comms. *niche post
That’s a crazy stat that Ohtani has seen the least amount of strikes in the playoffs so far
This is the longest game in NFL history, I swear to fucking God.
It's not an incredibly important NFL game without a controversial call in the last two minutes
Ohtani not able to extend his left arm fully is telling. All that's missing is a sling.
I'd describe this as "bad" for Nick Sirianni.
We've won more games in Philly in the last nine days than the Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies combined this month.
This is the only way I ever know when an NFL game goes to OT
Tocchet and Sirianni in a race to get shitcanned earliest in the season
