Worth noting that SHIPS guidance indicates the possibility that #Isaias could experience an episode of rapid intensification within the next 72-h window. Not outrageously high probs, but nothing to rule out. Perhaps this high OHC water may play a role in this before getting into unfavorable shear?

A bit weird and amusing to find out something about next-door #Vermont from the BBC, but this article is delightful to see: bbc.co.uk/future/article/20260… tl;dr — Vermont has a growing program to support large home #batteries. It’s particularly great for folks who are in areas that are prone to outages, but even more importantly, it allows the grid operators to use those home batteries to smooth power, and avoid “peak” problems. This is downright wonderful to see, a real boon for #renewableEnergy, and I’d love to see Massachusetts get equally serious about something like this…

🌳 "2.65 million trees in the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland are small, newly growing trees. That accounts for over 40% of the trees surveyed. The data also found that differences in landscape matter for regrowth. The new trees were more prevalent in dry areas rather than wet, boggy ones."

#Scope3emission #FossilFuels #Coal The Australian High Court has **effectively** noted that as we all breathe the same air, emissions from BURNING coal **anyplace** (on Earth) need to be taken into account when assessing an Environmental Impact Statement. It appears *local* is still a part of the earths biosphere. This aligns well with other jurisdictions noting that skipping through legal loopholes does not substantively alter effects on the planets shared atmosphere...
