How it works

So when I was roughly 20 years old, the internet introduced me to the album "Space Metal". And a song on that album, "intergalactic space crusaders", is the first song I ever resorted to looking up lyrics to, because I knew what I was hearing could not possibly be correct. And indeed, it wasn't...

  2. Looking at MCR albums with sis. Me: Oh, which one has the wedding song that goes - Sis: That's Panic! at the Disco. Me: Yeah, but which album is that on? Sis: No, that's Panic! at the Disco.🤦‍♀️ Me: ..... OHhhHh! Was inspired to relisten and I remember ALL. THE. WORDS. But couldn't remember the band

You would think the Classical Music Hall of Fame would be in, I don’t know, Vienna? Not Cincinnati.

  4. I wonder what the two concepts he's referring to. If I had to guess, the randomness of his games became the surprise songs, and him running a lap at the beginning of his encore shows became the Idol parade walk.

#nightmusic Siri Undlin (Humbird), Minneapolis, gathered her “trusted collaborators” from Eau Claire, WI for her just released album. Pat Keen accompanies her on this title track. She plays several shows & festivals in WI, MN & IL through December. Hope it's a good evening. youtu.be/BJ674iBAHrE

  6. Hi everyone. Rosie will be with you from 6:00 PM UK time with Rock Your World, playing three hours of modern and classic rock, including your requests. Why not try and guess the connection between two songs she’ll play? If you’re the first to guess correctly, you’ll get to choose the featured artist for next week. We’ll hear this week’s featured artist, which has been chosen by Kerry, who won last week. You’ll hear a rock cover of a song that wasn’t originally a rock song, We’ll also take a look at this week’s new releases, on this day in rock music and finish with some soft rock ballads. I hope you can join me. Listen live: • Online: s6.autopo.st:8515/live • Via the Treehouse Radio app • On smart speakers (enable the Treehouse Radio skill or use myTuner Radio where available)

  7. given how much ive been posting abt heavier music recently n the fact im not really huge into more technical stuff its rlly funny to me tht the first type of music i ever rlly fell in love with was the "canterbury scene" subgenre of 60s/70s prog rock

  8. In "Burrito" by Seether, I thought for the longest it was "My hands are stained with cum." But the line is "My hands are stained with scum, Wish I could wash it away" According to my wife Shaun Morgan also goes "My hands are stained with cum" some times during live shows and that's really funny

“Like so many great Brazilian artists, Bernardes translates hope and tragedy with the airiness of a butterfly but the precision of a surgeon. And beyond that, he integrates all of that sadness into his guitar.” Tim Bernardes — Tiny Desk Concert: www.npr.org/2026/10/06/g...

  10. Little tip for the rest of the world re Sweden that I doubt has escaped the country - There’s a guy called William Sundman-Sääf who travels around on the Stockholm metro and expertly sings traditional troubadour songs. www.instagram.com/williamsundm...

AOTD#53: @worriedaboutsatan.bsky.social – Outland (@ctatsu.bsky.social) More subdued than No Knock No Doorbell, shifting the focus from post-rock to ambient (though not completely). Dark industrial/triphop textures throughout. Great track titles. Concise despite being bookended by 10+ min. tunes.

  12. Album of the day: Pisces Iscariot by The Smashing Pumpkins. Very soothing when you’re in a certain mood. Very much in a certain mood.

  13. Some days “Find The River” by R.E.M. catches you perfectly, and the world is sad and gorgeous and melancholy but you’ve got love and the best of other people and that’s okay.

  14. The political and economic climate of the 1970's: America is in a recession, crime rates are rising, the Vietnam War is still going on, the Rust Belt is losing manufacturing jobs, and oil prices are skyrocketing due to an embargo Music in the 1970's:

Deep Cut Donovan’s “Young Girl Blues” comes from his 1967 album Mellow Yellow, but it grew out of the earlier Sunshine Superman sessions It leans into a slow, bluesy mood, with Donovan’s vocal sounding intimate and almost conversational #musicsky #PsychedelicFolk #60sRock youtu.be/0eTnLkf39GE

  18. It is incredibly rude not to credit someone for their music, especially when they are generous enough to give it up for free. It literally takes you writing one sentence. Don't be lazy.
