How it works

  1. Signing off with Fausto Leali's interpretation of Ray Charles' "I Believe To My Soul." Can't vouch for the translation as it's been 35 years since I studied Italian in college. #1001CoverSongs Song # 738: m.youtube.com/watch?v=luKO...

Drifting Through Midnight with Adam Keena's 'Palawan Drift'. Irish producer Adam Keena channels tropical field recordings into a warm, late-night melodic house voyage. spinlog.de/post/adam-keena-pal… Spinlog MAG - For the songs worth running back. 🖤 #IndieMusic #NewMusic #SpinlogMAG #FreeSubmission #MusicReview

  3. In the E.L.O. song “Don’t Bring Me Down,” I always thought they were singing “BRUCE!” in the chorus. Since I knew the song was made in the ‘70s and Bruce Lee was one of the most famous celebrities at that time, I thought they were singing about him! They’re actually singing “Gruss!” for some reason.

  4. 🎶 New music in my collection Some great funky, obviously some rap, some librarian funk bangers, some Polish jazz amazingness and a few guilty pleasure albums from my childhood. pawelgrzybek.com/music/ #music #vinyl

I have a weird liking for songs with voice cracks... like especially when they're a little slower it just makes the whole thing more awkward and adds to the tone... and if it's a love song especially about an old lover... it's perfect

Ever since coming back from Big Bang in Paris, I've been listening to Taeyang's solo music non-stop. I know it sounds weird, like it was a life changing thing, but it isn't. It's just music that gets me through a work day without being drained of my soul. Also, have you seen Taeyang lately?! #bigbang #taeyang

  10. One of only a few Dylan albums where "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here with You" wouldn't sound like a threat or an imposition. Sure, he's lit, but it's a mellow high.

  11. White Zombie really was the fork in the road for people who were like going to care about Pearl Jam the rest of their lives and people who own at least three Godzilla shirts right now

I've really gotta remind myself not to read the youtube comments on any music from the '80s or older. they're always full of the saddest life stories of people struggling with loss and loneliness. like man I'm just trying to vibe out to Day Tripper

I kinda flaked out on that season because a lot of things were going on and I wasn't all in, but I'm gonna finish it shortly. I actually saw Foxy Shazam live. I was a big fan of their records but they were extremely annoying live. Or possibly I was in a bitchy mood that night.

Metal elitists call everyone posers when many of us weren't born when influencial bands were formed I was called a poser cause I discovered poison the well recently meanwhile I was born 1997 when poison the well were formed so obviously I used to know new metalcore bands only

#JustListened After seeing their band photo, I expected these folks to play BlackMetal, but instead it's more in a PunkRock/PostPunk style that's been spiced with a little Metal. A really cool sound, made even better with the garage band feel and pretty good lyrics. Fun stuff! Highly recommended!

  18. Thank you, I agree! The hymn is called "this joyful easter tide", if I remember correctly, and I believe it's originally Dutch? I couldn't tell you what the specific tune is called though. The harmonies are 95% what I remembered from when I played it a few months ago, but I may have messed with it a little, mostly unintentionally.

  19. why is it that France has never over the past 60 years produced a good or popular rock group/singer? (Plastic Bertrand doesn't count he was a proto-Milli Vanilli and the real guy is Belgian)

it kills me that no one ever talk about how Taylor Swift’s song “Actually Romantic” is just a blatant/shitty rip off of the Pixies “Where is My Mind?”
