Not to be *that guy* (sorry), but measles was eliminated in the US (not eradicated) We’ve only ever eradicated one human disease (smallpox); it’s when the global incidence is permanently zero due to deliberate efforts (for smallpox, vaccination) & you can stop interventions…

When the choice is between living with severe pain that could be reduced if the system didn't place access to necessary care out of reach or assisted suicide, the system has long ago taken away autonomy. Because autonomy requires the option to access the care that may reduce the pain.
“Poppy's Promise is based on four care principles: •Compassion - showing kindness •Acknowledgement - recognising a patient's feelings •Respect - valuing their opinion •Empowerment - involving patients in their care” Surely these are already basic prerequisites of competent NHS care?
Was thinking earlier how amazing it was that in the 60s to maybe even now everyone knew the name Dr Christiaan Barnard, who carried out the first heart transplant, and wondering if there’s ever been another celebrity surgery (or other medical worker apart from Florence Nightingale).
Also like. Logically. If someone were, hypothetically, to contract the plague. Wouldn't "at the research center where they study plague" be literally the best possible place for it to happen. Like they already know exactly what to do. They've been studying it. I imagine if I were like, head of a software company, or shift manager at a Tim Hortons. And somebody died of the plague. I bet I'd botch that whole situation. I'd be totally unprepared for it.

I had a pretty minor complaint to HUS (the hospital district) resolved in my favor on the third attempt. It is so frustrating that the system feels designed to wear you down so you give up before they actually investigate anything. Exercising your own rights should be made as easy as possible, and not rely on special skills or a limitless supply of patience.
If the volume of "your medicare profile is not complete" calls is any indication of how good the data the US Government has on me is, then I really am not terribly concerned about what they know about me. (PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS SARCASM AND ANNOYANCE) I am not eligible for medicare, I have healthcare through my employer not the marketplace, and every time I answer a call they have no idea who they're talking to. I am so tired of 7-10 daily calls about this.
People who criticize this by saying that people could simply not do drugs: 1. yeah, and you could be a little nicer to the ones who do. 2. who cares if people are addicted. seriously. that's like blaming them for their cancer or their depression.
No paid sick leave? Maybe rethink the jab.
What's the trick to a meal being satiating? Is it the right ratio of carbs, portein and fats?
On the topic of “WTF is wrong with men?”, I’ll point out that if one of us actually decides to look up advice on emotional/mental health, most of what he finds will A) be laser-focused on boosting his career, neglecting his worth anywhere else or B) push him into the redpill/manosphere algorithm.
for anybody that's used niacinamide or hyaluronic acid, have you noticed any differences after using it regularly? and how long after starting did you begin to notice?
So an ear infection with possible cellulitis is, on the fun scale of 1-10, a minus 15.
