  3. Geez, I'm exhausted. I'm making medication changes again and it's not...easy. I feel like I've been trying a new med in an endless loop for a decade. And I flunk out on nearly every med I try because the intersection of diseases is cruel and I have paradoxical reactions. *sighs*

There are a few things that will pretty reliably flare my endo up, but also like 90% of the time it just feels like a dice roll. I take it back about barometric pressure migraines being the worst because you can't control the weather. This is the worst because I don't even know what happened 🤣😭

Just lost yet another morning for no reason and disrupted my routine AGAIN because dentist cancelled on me WHEN I GOT THERE, AGAIN, this is the 3rd cancellation in a row, 2nd time WHEN I ARRIVED, totally new dentist. I am so beyond sick of the NHS.

Sleep is too shallow and my waking hours I feel barely there some days. Politics aside there are some other pieces of news that have got me in full on "get everyone I know on board with mutual aid, communal effort and most importantly MASK THE FUCK UP" mode. And this was before the Russian plague

This. We need to stop seeing diagnosis as a prerequisite for being flexible and making adjustments. Everyone benefits from the (usually small) changes required. I was talking about this yesterday, for instance how you can sense as a teacher who might struggle with eye contact.

some days the overwhelm of basically starting over with exercise, on top of doing it because I have a hyper-mobile body that desperately needs stability, just brings all that grief back up of having to manage this condition for the rest of my life

  16. when i was born the cord was wrapped around my neck and when they finally got me out i was so high off the painkillers they gave my mother that i nearly died and had to be taken away for hours before anyone was allowed to hold me and i think it will affect my psyche for the rest of my life

I’m lowkey pissed that when I was diagnosed with bipolar nobody told me about how important *lifestyle* is to managing it. If I knew consistent sleep schedules were doubly important for me, I probably would’ve left Chipotle sooner.

Many people who get into trauma recovery are frustrated to learn that we can’t just jump right into confronting or working through our traumatic memories and feelings— but we first have to develop what I call cognitive & emotional “cardio” for the fight ahead.

Also okay dammit yesterday I learned that apparently estradiol doesn't expire after 28 days and you're supposed to just stockpile it?? Ok so update; I had to go to a&e, where I waited all night because the NHS is underfunded and the talented and lovely folks who have been treating me (and not being transphobes!) had to also treat 100 additional people. This may affect the stream later but right now I'm full of painkillers so yay!
