Yesterday, we celebrated the last day of summer (6 Oct, this is fine) with walkies along the lakeside at Bewl Water. Paws got wet but the swimming lessons last weekend did not inspire any further swimming. #dog #DogsOfMastodon #corgi

I was doing my morning back stretches and he brought me a toy from elsewhere in the house as he often does. But he always leaves it just outside the room (it’s just out of shot) and miaows there so you have to get up and go look 🙄 Well, normally - in this case I leaned around and he could see me so he caved and came to me instead 😸
Falin has somehow managed to lose her favourite chew toy (picture below). Which is baffling because it's bright green and half the size of her. But don't worry, she's insisting that my nose is a great substitute 😑 #parrotsky

My cat Pica is feeling better. IDK if she's out of the woods but she has been purring, eating her meat brick (she loves the meat brick) and she took her new higher dose of meds. Thank you to everyone who had kind thoughts for her earlier today. I was really stressed out and worried and it helped.

Eee just saw a huge flock of Snow Geese flying south! They are pretty distinct from Canadian Geese and sound a bit different
A peaceful walk with my dog today went around three lakes; one feeding down into the next, nobody about just me and my dog, the soft crunching of my boots and her paws on the ground, the calls of birds and ducks echoing throughout. Truly peaceful.
Bob and I are truly creatures of habit. I take the left side of the couch bolstered by back pillows he takes the other, sitting on back pillows, I sleep on the left side of the bed, he sleeps on the pillows on the right. We have a very settled sort of existence together. He’s just become my little right hand man.

Just been talking to a mate who has a cat he wants to get rid of. I told him to take it to the Easter Shore and dump it, someone would find it and feed it. It arrived back at his place the following morning. So I suggested taking it to Launceston in the car boot so it wasn’t getting a visual map.
There are deer in my backyard right now, but alas, they are being smart and staying in the shadows of the trees, so I can’t get a good photo without disturbing them.

Lol the neighbour's new rooster escaped and found its way into our back yard. All is well and he has been recaptured unharmed. He did not like giving up his little hiding spot though.

Apparently, I did not release the mouse, I named them Timothy, far enough away from my apartment when I captured Timothy the first time. Drove Timothy 10 minutes away from my apartment and let them go in a grocery store parking lot. That better be the last time I see Timothy.

yesterday while taking out the trash I watched a group of rats run from the other side of the street - see a racoon and turn around then run passed me - down the side of the house and then right into my house through my door that was slightly ajar. I can hear those fuckers in my walls right now.
Sakura jumped up onto the bed for dinner tonight and knocked off the cat food can (We feed food to her in chunks the size she can manage, and she gets 1/2 pill with evening meal.) I grabbed at the cat food can, caught it and realized a few seconds later that I'd sliced one knuckle on it. Bleh.
