How it works

  1. A land without a people for a people without a land. The horrors of Gaza, & the scale of Western complicity, have begun to rupture the indifference that has long emboldened Israel’s unchecked exercise of military power. Public opinion is shifting, even as political elites struggle to contain it.

  2. @mcduff.bsky.social

People will say "why do you only talk about Israel when there's other countries doing massive violence?" And so with that in mind I'll just note that the UAE, which is backing a genocide in Sudan, as well as being a slave state, is being treated with delicate kid gloves by the government.

    Opinion
  3. I *STILL* don’t know what’s happening in Gaza; I cannot tell you if Israel is engaging in a ground war, ethnic cleansing, or a genocide. BUT I know that the term “indiscriminate slaughter” is a specific and drastic accusation you cannot make lightly without a bevy of evidence no one has provided me

  4. @kq5.bsky.social

Did 700,000 Israelis die in that attack? Pretty sure it wasn't that many. But, it conveniently gave Israel an excuse for all-out Genocide on Gaza civilians, CHILDREN, schools, hospitals etc. Netanyahu was warned about the Hamas attack. He did nothing to prevent it because it suited his agenda.

  5. The EU is ramping up the Hybrid War narrative with Black Rock Merz saying Germany is under attack from Russia. Due to the drone at Leipzig, of which there is no video footage at all. I anticipate false flag attacks with lose of life within the EU borders within the next 6 weeks, we'll see

  6. @rlb-21.bsky.social

On the third anniversary of the attack in Israel by Hamas that killed 1209 people, it's time to look at the response by Israel. You don't kill 74,000 people, including more than 20,000 children by mistake. This is not acceptable collateral damage, it is ethnic cleansing.

    Opinion
  7. So typical of the Israeli Govt, whose response is about blocking the UK's ability to support Palestinians, rather than the issue of UK-ISraeli relations themselves When any accountability is sought - Israel responds: "how can we hurt the Palestinians further" www.theguardian.com/world/2026/o...

Some might not know this but Russia's reliance on the Chinese economy, and the bigger role China plays in Russia's, is already causing negative externalities like, say, gangs of hooligans harassing Chinese students at all the major universities basically unimpeded.

  9. I don’t know that word counts are an appropriate metric for talking about atrocities in an armed conflict. I could write at length about the failures of the US Army in Afghanistan while making only glancing mentions to the crimes of Al Qaeda, The Taliban or HQN.

Russia sinks two civilian vessels in NATO waters of Bulgaria and Romania. This is 1941 all over again. Only this time, the US president is siding with the Nazis. arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/1…

Defending the Western order means defending "international law, territorial sovereignty and the rules-based order against revisionism, hybrid threats and coercion." War crimes and repression of free speech are the US-powered opposites. www.rferl.org/a/athens-rub...

  12. @thepdog@mas.to

This escalation by Russia into International Waters and the EU is not good. What will DFT do about it? Probably just cozy up to Putin and let it continue. I have a bad feeling about this! #Russia #drones #EU #Ukraine arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/1…

  13. UKRAINE IS SHOOTING DOWN BALLISTC MISSILES BUT FOR HOW LONG Ukraine shot down 5 ballistic missiles in the past few days showing they do have some Patriots - but how many nobody knows and how long they can keep it up is uncertain. But it does show you that when they have them they’re effective.

Happy anniversary to that war criminal scumfuck Benjamin Netanyahu and his Gulf of Tonkin level event he orchestrated to dodge getting arrested and/or ousted. I pray the sane people of Israel wake up and overcome the Zionist oppression

    Opinion
  15. On the anniversary of October 7th so many world leaders stand with us (not sure if "us" is Jews or Israel). Thanks for standing there and doing nothing when Hamas terrorists and their allies and Iranian sponsors want to wipe us off the face of the earth Crossposted with @openvibe

    Opinion
  16. @spdogood.bsky.social

Netanyahu armed and funded Hamas for years to undermine the Palestinian Authority. There are now reports he knew about the 10/7 attack ahead of time and did nothing. Netanyahu is a master mind of destruction. He dedicated his life to undermining the hope of a Palestinian state

    Opinion
  17. @Bobsee@hachyderm.io

So sad and angry that the past three years have resulted in so much bloodshed in the middle east, as well as the ongoing struggles elsewhere. We need to find #peace among ourselves.

    Opinion
  18. @jackalpants.bsky.social

I feel like the first step to a peace is for people to want peace and they just fucking don't. You can sit down with some people say "hey, so you can't force a win here- you just can't, like it physically can't be done- and you're killing children" and they'll say "those aren't children."

Why sending Syrian fighters to Yemen is ill-fated idea • Destabilizes a fragile Syria • Strengthens Hezbollah remnants • They don’t know Yemen terrain: Just ask Egyptians & Sudanese • Prolongs war, fuels sectarian divide beyond Yemen while potentially empowering Houthis

    Opinion
  20. Netanyahu was willing to kill his own people on October 7 as pretext for a genocide. That’s not only terrorism, it’s treason, and it’s yet another reason this man belongs behind bars. open.substack.com/pub/councile...

    Opinion
  21. @yanshuf09.bsky.social

Israelis for Peace are anti-Likud, and anti-occupation. They want immediate and permanent end to the war, and they want Netayahu to go to the Hague for war crimes. The pro-pallies still treat them as enemies

    Opinion
  22. @aphclarkson.bsky.social

It's possible to point out that the EU will have a comprehensive range of demands and expectations towards the UK if the Brits want to Rejoin as well as that if the Brits meet those conditions the UK will be allowed back in. Whether Brits rejoin or not comes down to what Brits are ready to accept

    Opinion
  23. @melangell.bsky.social

The fact that I still have to explain any part of the Palestinian plight when we have drone footage showing Gaza reduced to a literal parking lot makes me think humanity should just end.

    Opinion
  24. “Moscow has denied any involvement in the incident.” I encourage journalists seeking to make impartial statements that it would give the reader/audience a clearer picture to routinely add: ”but has a proven pattern of denying things it has done, as misinformation to create doubt and uncertainty.”

    Opinion
  25. Don't let them tell you to condemn October 7th. The people of Palestine have been facing genocide for multiple generations already. The right to resist apartheid and genocide is the right of the oppressed. The world knows it. Do not agree to their terms, anymore.

    Opinion
  26. So the only reason Putin can not do the same (as Trump did) is that Putin's bargaining power is not that strong as Trump's? www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

    Opinion
  27. @philildo.bsky.social

On the 3rd anniversary of the start of Netanyahu's #genocide in Gaza, the BBC has managed to produce this. In the small print it mentions IDF outright denials, a convoluted way of saying Israel is rapidly land grabbing - expanding the yellow line No mention of continuing restrictions on aid🤔

    Opinion
  28. Russia has no respect for anything. Frankly, I'm beginning to believe that Ukraine is playing too nice. Screw world opinion if your country is being destroyed, piece by piece, and the rest of the world mostly just shrugs its shoulders and offers words of encouragement, along with a few handouts. 🤬

  29. Considering that Mossad had penetrated the highest echelons of Hamas, I suspect he knew quite a lot, including writing the orders that initiated Oct 7. All in the name of #genocide www.cbc.ca/player/play/...
