The Steam Deck was a very beta product, but the Steam Frame makes the deck look like Steve Jobs himself signed off on the release. This thing is barely usable. The control mapping flat out *does not work*.

Seems like YouTube did some A/B testing on me. That experiment was annoying. Having the subscribed channels button easily available is better than hiding it behind scrolling view as a small text link — that was bad. Good that they decided to return to the previous UI. Please don’t do that again.

i've always been perplexed by all the browser features that help you organize your tabs or something. i suppose it's one of the only functional differentiating features you can add to a browser. but like, i've never had trouble "keeping track" of what web pages i currently have open. and i've never found "bookmarks" to be a 'problem' that needs solving. URLs are just strings, you can do whatever with them, you can paste them into a text file even. they're almost self-organizing

  4. I hate the "we can't implement this very reasonable adjustment because the software we use to manage the system doesn't allow us to do so" excuse. If the software you are using (which, let's admit it, is just a crappy database with a ugly UI) is not suitable for the task, you should just use a different software. #AcademicRant

Loved seeing the @fedideck demo from @phillycodehound. The tooling to take in more and more of the Fediverse are really taking shape.
