I don’t think people realize yet that this is part of a bigger plan by this iteration of the GOP. They are trying to take over food systems and they are buying up farms They’re putting out of business.

For context I hate Ronald Reagan and think he’s responsible for a lot of what’s wrong with America today, but it’s kind of mind boggling just how much worse Trump is: Ronald Reagan: “An attack on Munich is the same as an attack on Chicago” Trump: just doubled down on his claim it’s okay for Iran to wipe out an American city if it’s in California, giving LA and San Diego as examples bbc.com/news/articles/c6r7yn8p… #uspol

  5. Like so many populists, GOPers are much more interested in simple sounding "one secret trick" plans. Hence the "just have Johnson not seat people" nonsense. Actually rigging the election would take a lot of strategic planning and effort they seem unprepared for.

  6. What SHITTY reporting here from Bylines (usually a good rag) "Just another electoral commission? No. This time it’s different. Andy Burnham has a long-standing, personal commitment to electoral reform" Ahh, well, if a politician says something for a long time, it must mean they won't lie and change their mind when it is convenient then. They already made a commission before in 2010 that found we should use AV+ and then we had a referendum on AV and rejected it and its still a 2 party system

  15. Got a very funny letter from the Mayor's office saying that our place is NOT worth over a million dollars so we don't need to prove we are full time residents to avoid the new tax. I guess they sent it to every coop and condo in the town. The values they are using are from the 1980s! Back then our place was hardly worth 50k. So to have an apartment worth over a million? I can't even imagine what that must be.

  18. Video from Lochiel: the locked down protester has been cut loose from the truck and arrested. This after heavy duty torture, an attempt by Fisher Sand and Gravel (owner of the truck) to gas them into letting go with diesel exhaust, and finally the truck being driven away with them "secured" by zip-ties. No first aid or medical examination after all that brutality. We need to watch this case closely to ensure they don't disappear. Remember that we are fighting an overt Fascist regime and this border wall is one of their top projects. #Lochiel #FisherSandAndGravel #CBP #civilDisobedience

  27. A certain party has ignored the No Circulars sign on my letterbox to deliver a pamphlet about how wonderful they are. They have 10 carefully selected points of which 7 could be considered good but 1 is pretty racist under the veiled language. If this pamphlet was the totality of their actions they would be a “maybe”, but since I know this is only a carefully selected subset they can get in the bin. #NZpol

Selling off public utilities and infrastructure -- even in the interest of so-called 'nation building' -- always increases costs for ordinary people. Then why are politicians always so eager to do it? And why do people keep voting for these politicians? I'll never know.

  36. Its going crazy right now on the Right after hearing this morning that Trump has no intention of bringing charges against his past enemies, Obama Clinton and Biden. The fact that we elected Obama is why this is happening. It is why we got the Tea Party. It is why we are suffering this push back from the Alt-R. Their entire, and I do mean entire grievance stems from the fact that Obama is Black. No matter what has escalated from that point forward only has caused them to be more and more angry. To the point now, that they thought it would be a grand idea to join the Trump cult even though every last one of them see Trump's flaws just as we all do. They arent blind, they are only blinded.

    Show more of this post

Their grievances have NOT been met and they are staring to see and understand their grievances have not been met for the last decade. Sure the border is closed, (it is not, Trumps reporting is of course exaggerated) but they are seeing that one thing as the ONLY thing. Trump announcing today that he wasnt going to prosecute OBAMA? Wait........and CLINTON??? These TWO are the ENTIRE REASON THEY EXIST. Trump, out loud, in public, totally betrayed MAGA today and its all they are talking about. He keeps saying 2020 was stolen from him and that he has the EVIDENCE to prove it but is now simply going to let them all go? MAGA: "So, he has all this evidence of them stealing 2020 election, plus all these other high treasonous crimes...and he is just going to forgive and forget? To me, this means they didn't do all this stuff he has been claiming, or he has been in on it and is a part of their plan." "Is he really this Stupid or is this Bullshit talk? All roads of Corruption and Witch Hunts against him lead back to Hussein Obummer, Killary and sleepy Joe So Nobody will get held accountable in this Totally Corrupt Govt because they ALL protect each other's asses" Pages and pages of posts like these and very few taking Trump's announcement well.
