I’ve been invited to a few big social events over the next 2 weeks but I feel uncharacteristically anxious about going. I am considering making my excuses for one of them but I also worry why I’m feeling like this as I am very sociable and some good friends will be there. Weird.
need to relearn social skills instead of trying to teach people how to handle or interact with me like knowing how to schmooze and just chill, be genuinely curious about others, find and foster points of connection, etc etc and also to not be so in my head about shit i need to go to the gym more
Worked on a very hot floor all day and made the mistake of going home and showering. And that's why I skipped my union unit's meeting, picked up my favorite pizza in town and now I'm going to pass the heck out. Sorry. I was completely out of mana.

I just realized yesterday was my 13th anniversary of being a corporate slave. Yes, entered the corporate world on Monday, October 7, 2013. I took the day off yesterday too, not even thinking of the significance of it. It was a nice day despite ocd tugging at me throughout the day. 🫠 im tired grandpa
I am thankful for a beautiful sunrise as we drove to the tall ship. Three good sails, two with students, and one with a group of seniors. And my wife learning… Silly fun evening watching the Wizard of Oz with shipmates. (More on that later…😉)
If I had a nickel for every time someone at work mistook me for a 23 or 25 year old it would be 3 nickels... which isn't a lot but it's starting to become more common, but it's boosting my self esteem so keep those nickels rolling in I guess
I’ve made it to Melbourne and my hotel gave me a room upgrade! The universe is smiling on me right now.
I think I thrive in being “unassuming” but that’s probably more based on naturally being goofy and speaking matter of factly 90% of the time. Less pressure,very candid, mad cozy *shrugs*
I am very, very peopled out. My social battery has collapsed into itself. 3 out of the last 4 days onsite, constantly talking to residents and family members.

honestly not getting ghosted and also having a great conversation filled my soul cup up a bit I'm a lot and I tend to relate to others with anecdotes and metaphors, I could do better with keeping the floor open for others to speak, but sometimes it slots in nicely

tomorrow is going to be the longest shift of my life. i leave for work at 10. my dslr is scheduled to arrive at 10:30. im going to spend the entire shift itching to get home and check it out and make sure everything works
I'm so exhausted lately, the world is so distressing. I hope the work I do helps, even if only a little.
