Got to the first boss in Othercide -- it took me far too long to realize I couldn't melee my way to a victory and had to rely on the Soulslinger. But fortunately, we survived with all the daughters!
It's kinda wild that before, I could only fill one of these trays with minis when I moved 2 years ago. And now I have two cases to fit them all, and even then it's only just. Behold, my entire Battletech collection (plus a few extra minis)
Tried Aion 2. Steam says it doesn't support controller, but it does. Not great support but workable; I can't see a way to rebind buttons. Spent way too much time making a much too dramatic Ranger chick and hardly any time PLAYING of course cuz... its me. :)
Someday I shall be good enough to beat Crash Bandicoot 2 in one sitting (all crystals, not 100%, that is). Sigh. Got to "Road to Ruin" tonight before running out of lives. Already good enough to get every crystal in Warped in one sitting, but definitely not 1 or 2 yet. Actually closer in Crash 1...
I had a "weird" childhood in that I had no consoles growing up and I pretty much only gamed on PC, so MechWarrior was one of my mainstays, I remember this intro riled up my child brain so much hahaha
Update, ever since touching Godot for the first time on August 2nd I never let go of it and it looks like I will bring a full game project (bigger than jam game) to its completion for the first time ever. I'll keep it in secrecy for a little longer though, there is still a lot of shaping up to do.
Started playing Fantasian Neo Dimension again. Man, what a special little game. I've championed it since its Apple Arcade days and I wait every day hopeful to hear more about the sequel that is supposedly being made. I wish I could be involved with Mistwalker. It'd be my biggest career dream.
I make something like Rayroads - the space train game that ends when capitalism has exterminated all life - and people assume I'm some kinda doomer or bummer to be around and no, I'm just angry, because things can be better anger is as much about hope as it is despair, both felt urgently

I sometimes look at local #estatesale listings, hoping to spot some overlooked #ttrpg treasures, but all I ever see is piles of ugly knickknacks that make me anxious about how much clutter I'll leave when I die.
Tonight at my One Piece TCG locals I used the Rocks (OP17) blue deck. It’s a really fun deck to play. Even though I was missing some cards (due to a Royal Mail not delivering anything in my area at the moment…) I managed to pivot well. I just barely lost my first game, but won my next game!
I cannot commit to anything while I’m grieving. That said, I think running a ttrpg would help in getting me to hold into the joy in life. I’ve enjoyed being a player recently. But running a game is something that I can heal through creatively. Once my head is back on the right way around.
I played an unhealthy amount of CK3 today because my off-ramp (character death) got circumvented. Started playing as the heir and was about to be done for the day when I got an event about my (slightly) older sister who was, of course, passed over for all title redistribution.
Zelda like guardians just attacked my D&D groups starting town that essentially was their main hub and they killed my character’s mother in process. Shit actually got to me the player for a moment because I’ve been with this group since 2019. God I love telling a story with others!
I wanna fix up my dumb little mesh replacement mod for BG3 before I jump back into the game, but in the 1.5 years since I cobbled it together I have forgotten how I did any of it. I remember there was a lot of bs, a lot of moving parts and trying everything til it worked involved. I should've taken notes.
Started to create characters tonight in another GM’s customized dream Pokémon D&D 5E mechanics game. We get to campaign a few months in a fan fictive new land before the GM moves away. #ttrpg #homebrewttrpg
I'm still thinking about the announced Conjuring video game, which means it was time to bring my old paranormal investigator OC Phoebe Nowhere and her very tiny haunted doll out of storage.
I watched them launch a Vanillaware game on Steam for me at the Marvelous JP office and then handed me a controller to play it.
I low key want to get a copy of Duke 3D running and as many Duke! Zone packs as I can get my hands on so I can do some nostalgia streaming. There's a fun mix of hot garbage and genuinely good maps in there.
The issue with installing a bunch of old games on a new computer is having to get them working. Is DGVoodoo going to work today? Is there some weird registry thing I need to do? Oh wait, it has safedisc! Maybe the multiplayer only wants to show serial ports today. It's endless! But fun.
Hearing about wadas cat passing is making me feel Something bc my cat died while I was playing through fe8 the first time and it was helpful in a way bc it's a story about accepting loss and grief and what happens when you don't so it's weird we have this connection now.
playing tank control horror games is giving me an idea for a prototype but i worry if i release a game with fixed camera angles and tank controls and stand-and-fight controls a la silent hill in 2026 i will be captured and boiled
