Watched the chickens go Jurassic park on a young rat today for the first time, then had to call out my bigger dog to finish the job. Animals are animals and sometimes I forget they do things like that. Best we can do as humans is minimize the suffering.
Bob and I are truly creatures of habit. I take the left side of the couch bolstered by back pillows he takes the other, sitting on back pillows, I sleep on the left side of the bed, he sleeps on the pillows on the right. We have a very settled sort of existence together. He’s just become my little right hand man.

Another waste of money cat related purchase. Bought some of those fancy raised wooden cat bowls. Sky and Fern look adorable eating out of them, like they're at a feline dinner party. The novelty has worn off for them now and tonight they're carefully removing their dinner, dropping it on the floor and eating it from there.

Just been talking to a mate who has a cat he wants to get rid of. I told him to take it to the Easter Shore and dump it, someone would find it and feed it. It arrived back at his place the following morning. So I suggested taking it to Launceston in the car boot so it wasn’t getting a visual map.

Sakura jumped up onto the bed for dinner tonight and knocked off the cat food can (We feed food to her in chunks the size she can manage, and she gets 1/2 pill with evening meal.) I grabbed at the cat food can, caught it and realized a few seconds later that I'd sliced one knuckle on it. Bleh.
Lol the neighbour's new rooster escaped and found its way into our back yard. All is well and he has been recaptured unharmed. He did not like giving up his little hiding spot though.
