i stopped taking sertraline because it would turn me into a will-less zombie i would still be me, but i could not do anything but watch youtube in silence, becase my brain was at such as state of boring bliss i finally knew how sheep feel i stopped taking it, and now i wonder, is that the "normal" state for me? a zombie? if so, is depression and anxiety my main drive for doing anything at all? all this shit is weird

I pretty much only buy things on amazon I can't get locally so amazon is now convinced I am obsessed with "specialty aquarium equipment" and "home filtration" - I'm surprised they didn't decide "buying filters for my car / aquarium / HVAC / air purifier / humidifier / hot tub" is my hobby.

  4. #WritersCoffeeClub 8 Oct Tell us about someone who supports you on the sidelines. I'm fortunate that there isn't really anyone close to me who isn't supportive of creativity in general and my writing as an expression of mine. My wife, obviously, does the most to keep me sane and likes my stupid stories. Maybe she sees me in them, or we have enough in common that what I think would make a good story idea appeals to her too.

  5. I woke up, but I can’t stop thinking. Some regions of Ukraine have already been without electricity for 8–12 hours. And it’s still +23°C outside. What will happen when winter comes? When temperatures drop below zero? I’m afraid this could be our hardest winter In all these years of war.

Acorn is an indie image editor by Flying Meat. It replaces Pixelmator for me, which I bought long ago, pre-Acorn, and rode until it stopped working. (Just now.) Flying Meat made VoodooPad back in the day, a kind of personal-wiki app that was my core digital notebook from around 2004 through 2021, long after its sunset. (I use piles of Markdown files + Nota now.) Been aware of the studio’s next big project for years, and I’m happy for the excuse to finally throw a little more money at em.

  7. So, I find myself at the #Singapore #F1 Grand Prix for the weekend, how surprising. My first international event and what a place to do it 🏎️🏁

I also make terrible decisions when driving in games, too. (because of mic setup, you can’t hear me in this clip, only my poor roof-mounted gunner, but I was laughing a *lot* when we rolled)

  9. OK, my doctor read me for *filth* today and immediately asked if I'd ever been diagnosed with autism. I have no fucking clue how to think about that, (I mean, yes, I probably am autistic, but there's a reason I can joke about "trans, autistic or Polish?" being a valid question to ask in many social situations)

  10. Met a YouTuber offline today. When they asked if I saw their channel, I gave a benevolent grin and asked, I would love to check it out! How can I find you via PeerTube or podcast? They are exclusively on YouTube and have no plans to move to a podcast or Peertube but Even though I have a YouTube account, and use the YouTube account frequently, It always gives me some joy to remind everyone that not everyone uses walled gardens. #PeerTube #YouTube

I woke up in the middle of the night after having not done my workout for the third day in a row so I did it because shame. I’m doing body weight workouts while the food processor blade slice in my thumb heals. I’m pretty sure I’m actually dead now so going back to sleep shouldn’t be a problem.

I got fall break this weekend (although I still have to go into work), I'm going to try and draw! Don't know what yet, but I'm sure it will come to me once my tablet is in front of me. I might even buy myself a deli pizza and a bottle of champagne for Sunday 😋

[04:51 am]: my last 2 braincells and I at a random gas station in southern Germany, ordering kaffee in my best German. 🗣"Sind Sie Niederländer??" 🗣 [04:52 am]: singing happy birthday in Dutch into the gas station lady's phone because her neighbors sister's brother in law (?) is Dutch and it's their birthday.

  14. bought a new heat bulb for my bearded dragon earlier this evening cause his burned out and also picked up some food for me and the husband on the way back and when walking back to the apartment I fumbled with my keys and the food and the bulb when soaring out of my hands and shattered on the asphalt

My physical copy of 31 Inventions, strategically placed in the guest bedroom, has been a big success with my father in law. It's a good job I have the audiobook to keep me company while I'm on holiday as I suspect it'll find it's way into his bag at the end of the week. @jonnelledge.bsky.social

Last evening I had the most fun ever at a Smash Bros Tournament. Not only did I manage to reach 7th place out of 18 (!!!) (first time Top8 at that location), I also played a lot of "Puyo Puyo Tetris" against someone and apparently I am pretty good at Tetris ^^ half the Venue was watching us >.<

Realizing that I was a "high functioning" neurodivergent CPTSD person for a long time. That went away when I came out as a trans woman and that intersection became too heavy, because I was once "functioning" I have a lot of trouble shaking this feeling that it's my fault that I lost everything.

  19. Internet go burrrrr. On stock ISP equipment none the less. LOCAL ISP really has upped their game little by little. Native DynDNS on the stock modem, IPV6 support, proper radio control and the ability to test for noise around itself, the ability to have a guest network setup, and site blocking/time blocking. Anyways, my partner has given me a 3 hour window that started 47 minutes ago. With DNS fixed on the stock modem, lets go rip that shit out, bridge directly from the ONT and install a proper Sophos Firewall.
