It's a pleasure to announce I finally completed my legal name and gender change. It's been a long time coming and I should have started it years ago to be honest but I'm finally here, it's done!
I worked for a union for 10 years I’m proud of the work I did with other people I got aid to Gaza I’ve put in the work and I’m not no shine chaser I’m a real one
I feel like being an ace lesbian is very different to being ace in a mostly straight environment. I rarely lost a friendship if someone developed a crush on me i couldnt return and vice versa (when ur grey-aro and fall for a full aroace…. PAIN). I think queer relationships are entirely different
me being born on international lesbian day will forever be my favorite bit of forshadowing
one of the funniest things that can happen to you is watching a woman youtuber draw something, getting dysphoric about how womanly her hands look, remembering you have small hands and have been on estrogen for 4 years, putting your hands next to the one on screen and finding out they look the same
I am, in spite of it all, glad I exist, and I have done things worth taking pride in. Also let's just say getting onto injections has had QUITE the impact
After only 3 years of voice training, I can voicepass if I really lock in Idk how fast that is but I feel like I should be proud of it
When i was a kid and came out to my mom as bi, i did so by drawing a one-page coming featuring me stepping out of a closet and telling her what's up through speech bubbles
Ive never loved being trans, but I do love being male, so I love that I transitioned. Being trans to me is more of an obstacle to overcome than anything. My goal after top surgery (2014) was to forget that I'm trans at all. That has become harder and harder since then.
almost forgot its been 4 years since i started hrt today. yippee!
specific problems: youre completing a partner visa endorsement for ur brother’s trans partner & youre worried it will sound too impersonal Re: evidence of their relationship every time you write “they/them” 🙃
I feel like since im not actively transitioning atm and am a amab nonbinary, i feel invisable in most discords im in..... Like i dont get advice if i ask for it. Most of my selfies are ignored if i psot them. Unless its the one where im fem'd out. I feel ignored and left out
Me!!! It took me a bit longer, but I love bunnies and just plop in the grass sometime as they hop around and forage :3!
One fucking single party of my transition that brought me joy and it's kinda looking like it will be visually ruined for me forever. Don't really know how to feel about it. Or rather what to do. I feel hollow and dead inside and just endlessly angry at the whole deal anymore. Seems pointless.
I don't think any cis person could ever begin to comprehend how little my own life meant to me pretransition, and how much it means to me now I am capable of joys now that were far beyond my wildest imaginings
i've met and spoken with and befriended some really cool lesbians in the past year, and i hope i'll be friends with even more of us by the time next year's International Lesbian Day rolls around
I forgot because I've been so stressed abt work/health, but it's been 3 years since I started HRT on october 1
me in the early/mid 2010s: "i support trans men and trans women but nonbinary is kinda weird." me now (hella nonbinary): "oh."
i've reached that odd point in my transition in which i pass about 30-40% of the time. where people can't quite tell what to call me and it's really uncomfortable. some of my coworkers use "he" and the other half use "she" and idk what to do except stand there awkwardly
never came out to my friends, neither did most of them. we just became friends in school without knowing that about each other bc gay people will apparently flock together no matter what lol
I'm a few days after the official date I started HRT, but it's been 5 years now. I'd do it again, in a heartbeat. My regret is I didn't know I could do it sooner. It's never too late. Until it is.
i dont really want to get on estrogen mainly cause i dont want tits but upon further consideration im realizing i actually just dont want to have a body at all
next time a person tries to tell me i'm "valid" for being non binary, my response is gonna be "prove it, give me $5 for my transition fund"
i've been dreaming of this for years. at some point i gotta make it a reality. but change is scary
Be careful where you get transitioning advice from. I was straight up told in one community to not have a plan because I’d be “rushing” it
When I was a preschool, a classmate of mine told me that if I didn't wear a skirt, I wasn't a girl, I responded "Okay, then I'm not a girl" XD Elaine-gender for meeee! XD
Today was international lesbian day and I somehow failed to make a single joke about me being an international lesbian
It's lesbian day! I saw a group of hawks just grab a small child and take him into the clouds in 2003 and I told no one
didn't know femboys were real until 2022 when someone i was in a Discord VC with mentioned that they got a random DM from a femboy crushing a can with their thighs. as soon as i realized i could be a femboy i immediately began experimenting with my gender
Me, an in the closet bi girl Them, an in the closet lesbian We ran into each other at the Pride Festival We both went to the same school and were friends and that how we found out we both like girls. No, we didn't date. I do wonder how they're doing. I hope she has a good life with a nice wife.
the first time I came out as trans/genderqueer to one of my friends was in an argument LMAO I had to let em know I was Qualified To Speak On The Topic
i am proud of myself for being able to reach back out to community even after being retraumatized
happy birthday lesbians! please know you are loved dearly and that you all light up the world :] as yourselves, as the work you make, and as the stories you share (both lived & crafted.)
tried to tell my mom the name i wanted to start using and she audibly gasped at it, said it was bad and said i should go by lilith instead
oh it's my 4 year HRT anniversary. Wow.
At 20, I was absolutely horrified that I was gay and refused to accept it. At 40, I see being gay as one of the biggest blessings in my life. I can’t imagine not being gay. I would never choose another life. 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Had a weird thought. Probably my weird self-confidence issues but I do feel like I am larping as a girl since I don't own any feminine clothes yet.
every other trans woman i know has been on hrt for years and im unfortunately only trans online. its really isolating and i wanna change it soon
A part of me wants to identify as agender but I don't know if it's something I can completely identify with
