i bought these from taiwan a ways back and they were delayed for like a month and a half by DHL and i have to say they were worth every second of wait and every dollar for that delivery. easily the best doritos flavor and a contender for one of the best chip flavors out there

Reader, I bought this for the label design alone but am actually interested to try it. Is this branded for preppers? Because it feels a bit that way. Not sure about those serving suggestions though.

The Indian Brewery Company is an excellent addition to Birmingham airport. Curry before a flight from Brum is a no brainer.

It's the middle of the night on the west coast, and only maniacs are up on the east, so I'll say it here, now: English milds and bitters, on cask, just beat the shit out of any beer in America. You don't even need the best, just go to a pub I'm sorry west coast and NE IPA fans, these are just facts

Had Somali tea and sambusas from Hamdi cafe tonight. My Somali neighbors are better people than every racist white boomer (and they cook better too)

Megan Amram came up with a hundred food-pun restaurant names for a single season of The Good Place. This is what they're using for a name? I dunno where I'm going with this, other than she showed a better world is possible. "You Do The Hokey Gnocchi and You Eat Yourself Some Food" for example.

Is it an indictment of my tastes or of the local Mexican restaurants that the birria I made from an Old El Paso kit was some of the best I've ever had?

Every single coffee roaster in this city carries exactly one decaf and every one of them roasts it to a bare medium roast and I don't understand why everyone thinks decaf drinkers don't want to taste their espresso. "Oh, you're not addicted to a stimulant? You must not like coffee with flavor."

You know what I will say about something French is, this summer I had one of the best mai tais I’ve ever had outside my house, and it was in Paris

Cooperstown is more than baseball (though the baseball is pretty cool).

It's like, a lot of the differences are regional for something like why the name is different for a pupusa vs a tayuyo. But the tiny differences in the preparation are also culturally meaningful, and I'd be really upset if someone made a tlacoyo and called it a pupusa. It's different! It's different

you've got to love a recipe that includes "i went digging in the pantry and found an old can of sweet corn one of us bought at some point. sure" in its steps

Who's got a favorite recipe for seitan/mock duck? We freaking love it, and would put it in everything except that it's absurdly expensive. I want to make up big batches of meal prep portions with different flavor profiles to stick in the deep freeze.
