Hurricane in the Gulf projected to hit AL (and surrounding states) Friday-ish, probably won't be more than a bunch of rain when it gets this far and it's not projected to be anything intense, at least last I saw
Watching a tropical disturbance develop and sitting in the cone of uncertainty while the NOAA reports refer to the "Gulf of America" is making me feel like I'm insane.
I woke up, but I can’t stop thinking. Some regions of Ukraine have already been without electricity for 8–12 hours. And it’s still +23°C outside. What will happen when winter comes? When temperatures drop below zero? I’m afraid this could be our hardest winter In all these years of war.

We got us a hurricane heading our way, too. Not nearly as big as the Gulf one and it will mostly hit down south but it does mean we have a good chance of rain. It will be a welcome relief. Last night was the first night the overnight temp dropped below 70 (69).
