Realizing with my newest game, if I find myself annoyed by some coding style or convention I've decided upon 3 times, it's time to consider if it should be binned. The problems I face are never at the level of scale I'm overly concerned about at the outset anyway lol. #gamedev #programming

I said no microblogging, but I want to say that if you're learning a new programming language, or just want to brush up on one, then #exercism is really a great tool. Can't recommend it enough. Used to always roll my eyes at those sort of exercises, but it's really been helpful for me to grasp different concepts. Also want to say that #Zig is probably my favorite #programming language and I haven't even really written anything in terms of personal projects. Just read some books and exercises. 6. Oftentimes when writing #rust code I find myself so twisted into a knot trying to get past the borrow checker that I think the best thing is to git reset --hard and try again with a simpler design. Reading about dyn traits at quinedot.github.io/rust-learni… it seems that Rust has got itself into such a knot that the best thing for the language is a git reset and try again with a simpler design... #computing #programming

Search looks through the last 48 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. Meaning search uses a model on Wildroot’s server. Query text may be sent through OpenRouter to an embedding provider if that model is unavailable or for a quality-check sample. Wildroot does not save query text to disk.
