  1. There are times, or perhaps more accurately, there is an age, beyond which one appreciates the value of prudence. In hopes the adage 'cooler heads will prevail’ has any truth to it, I believe they will. And if adages are a thing, 'the best defence is a good offence.’ Russia is going to continue NATO air space incursions until a reaction is provoked. Worst case scenario, R provokes EU to declare article 5. US, as long as T is in charge, will declare neutrality, (thereby leaving NATO), and giving P a hard deadline. What’s left of NATO will be in a face off with Russia. Australia, NZ, and Japan come to NATO’s aid. This draws China in.

To whoever remains alive, 'go the spoils’. Where will Canada fall and what would happen to Canada US relations as a result? Could Canadians wake up one day to find themselves living right up next to the new iron curtain? How would a preemptive strike by EU change this scenario? What about the loose cannons rolling around the Middle East, especially our good friend Mr N? Could it offer P an off-ramp by accepting the Donbas in exchange for an end to the war in Ukraine. Could Ukraine negotiate NATO/EU membership in the deal? Keeping Israel and China out it should be paramount. Could Republicans use this to win elections? #globalconflict #internationalrelations

«Russia said it was "ready in principle" to resume peace talks» The nerve. We know what that means, but just in case, here is a satirical take (if you don't mind its lightness) from the times of Soviet scarcity: A large city. A stranger is asking passers-by for directions to the Principle store. Eventually one of the locals says, "There is no such store in this city. Why are you looking for it?" The stranger replies: "They told me that I could buy anything in this city in Principle." _________ The city is Odesa in the original version, but I have to leave the background story for another time; it is not related to this being an _Ukrainian_ city, though. *** Missiles hit Kyiv after Russia agrees to resume Ukraine peace talks <bbc.com/news/articles/cq3djn5n…>

  3. #Zelensky and his entourage need the war for one purpose: to harness the billions in budget funds. What happens to #Ukraine is of no concern to anyone. The numbers speak for themselves, as does the situation in the country, which is only getting worse with each passing year. While ordinary Ukrainians are losing their homes/lives/futures, the security forces are making money. The situation will only worsen, and Ukraine will become a ruin that cannot be restored without billions in investment.

Apparently, Starshield in Ukraine is working more normally than before after a call from trump to Elon Musk today. "Some Ukrainian officials said the system wasn’t restored to full functionality but was working at higher speeds than under the cap." That still begs the question how a corporate CEO can interfere with American foreign policy with no repercussions. It's a fascist racket. wsj.com/world/trump-called-mus… #UsPol 1/n

  6. Trump floated a summit with Putin and Xi, then said Russia has been “fine on Ukraine” while Moscow's attacks battered Ukrainian cities. Apparently the peace plan starts with congratulating the guy launching the missiles. #Ukraine

The risk to Ireland being attacked isn't Russia, it's hybrid warfare from the US or UK or NATO. We need to stop pretending these cunts are anything but a shower of lying thieves.

@ckhung I really enjoyed our discussion we had yesterday, Talking about my work but also Taiwan, which I worried about. Nevertheless, I think Chinese and Russian mind set are very different, and I don't thing they will be a ware between Taiwan and China. But still, Taiwan should be prepare to warn China how costly such an adventure will be.
