Burnham tackling real UK problems in order of priority. First, people listening to music without headphones - huge national problem affecting the lives of millions and costing the economy billions. Then, opening new oilfield to create 27 jobs. Now, help for scammers and tax evaders. #Leadership

There's a lot of wicked chancers in the government, but I reckon Jim O'Callahan has to be genuinely evil. To go from demonizing solicitors for allegedly disrupting SA trials during their industrial action, to then turn around and attack the DRCC for daring to suggest kids have bodily autonomy?

We don’t need a wealth tax on the rich. They just need to staff HMRC and block the loopholes. It would raise the billions we need from the rich who pay to avoid tax We do need a wealth tax on banks, energy companies. But not people. Why don’t they sort it out properly?

Amazingly, it appears that the government is basically pushing a YouTube grindset hustle, as part of their attempt to shitehouse their own MPs into voting for the benefit cuts they previously refused to vote for.

Ever increasing income for those that do not work, frozen income for those that do... Tories call for 5-year freeze on minimum wage to tackle youth unemployment www.theguardian.com/society/2026...

  7. Exactly this ⬇️ Almost 9 M people across the UK are at risk of needing a food bank in the next year. One in five people have run out of food in past year and been unable to afford to buy more. Another out of touch comment by an ineffectual government

  8. 5 year freeze on wages? It would make George Osborne look like Lady Bountiful. Idiotic policy by an increasingly idiotic and nasty party www.theguardian.com/society/2026...

  9. There is something about the Labour Party which makes them unable to understand that employment regulation is regulation, employment bureaucracy is bureaucracy, and outside a few regulated industries, "business" experience of "red tape" is almost entirely what they call "improving worker's rights"

Private companies buying up care homes for older people in England could undermine the government's plan to create a universal care service, the regulator says Good job Farage and Tories not in power then voters ! Might get stopped !

The fact that Jim O'Callaghan posted his objection to that ad on X as well, is almost funny. On the platform that hosts so much child abuse imagery. I find it amazing we still are allowing government officials to be on X.

  12. Hot dem socialist take- to get buy-in for pro-worker legislative reforms and minimum wage hikes, we should look to reduce Employer NI whilst hiking employee NI and starting the process of shifting it into income tax

All these convoluted fixes to deal with the NEET issue when the government just needs to make it easier to hire young people. That’s the core of the issue. The NEETroot if you will.

Jim O’Callaghan seems awfully cocksure for a politician in the unluckiest constituency who is also a minister in the unluckiest department.
