Threeka's "Learning Center" was directly inspired by the descriptions of planets in #MassEffect. The idea was to adopt the encyclopedic style of the ME Codex, add a bit of humor, and try to tell a story by gradually revealing little pieces of incidental information. I think it came together pretty well. Anyway, it's a shame we won't get another one of those games. I liked them quite a bit. threeka.com/learning-center

Well, the time has come for BioWare. The game studio known best for the #MassEffect and #DragonAge series has now closed it's doors While sad, it has been a very long time since they released a successful game. The talent for which they're so well known for (RPG games) has long since departed Still, more sad #gaming news in a era of so much already. Clearly this has been covered and re-covered already, so this is just my own brief look over their work: gardinerbryant.com/farewell-bi…
I know gamers don't know a world before 2005 exists so it's been weird to see BioWare mostly celebrated for Mass Effect and Dragon Age I remember back in the day when I saw older gamers hate their newer "casual" games cause they used to make "real" games like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. Anyway ignore elitism and play what you want. But also experience more their old output. I don't want to say Mass Effect sucks or anything but it wasn't the best thing they did.
Well fuck. RIP BioWare. Mass Effect is still my favorite game franchise, I’m replaying the trilogy now. The ME universe is one of my favorite science fiction universes, I love the world building and the races in it so much. Despite BioWare’s recent performances, Mike Gamble really seemed to be going somewhere with ME5, and it had a ton of potential.
