It's National Coming Out Day, and life got so much better when I accepted that I'm queer and nonbinary. If you're not ready yet, that's okay. You're still valid, and I love you. 💜
Before National Coming Out Day comes to an end, I just want to say to every struggling gay bi lesbian trans queer follower I have: I know it will sound trite, but it does get better. Life will reward you for what you're going through right now. Find your people. Don't give up.
Since it's National Coming Out Day, know that I am queer, but all of my labels are: 1. Demisexual 2. Panromantic 3. Genderfluid 4. Non-Binary 5. Polyamorous (?) This is why I use one label (queer). My pronouns are they/them and respect my pronouns~
it’s coming out day so here’s a cool thing you should know: nobody gets to tell you how to nobody gets to tell you when to nobody gets to tell you who to come out to it’s all only what’s right for YOU and anyone who says otherwise can get rekt and if you can’t be out yet, that’s ok too 🫂
Technically about 20ish minutes late as I write this post, but happy National Coming Out Day to everyone who has and everyone who has yet to. Even when you surround yourself with people you can trust to continue loving and accepting you, it's scary. But it's also the best, so we do it scared.
Coming out is a deeply personal journey. Whether you are out, figuring things out, or choose not to label yourself, your timeline is entirely yours. There is no right or wrong way to be yourself. If someone comes out to you today, be their safe space. 🏳️⚧️✨🏳️🌈
do I look drunk here? be honest. selfie from breaking the seal at the gay bar last night
I don’t think of my old name as dead. I just view it as incorrect, like calling a butterfly a caterpillar. I don’t have shame about my existence pre-transition, because I wouldn’t be me without that awkward boy and his experiences.
Today is National Coming Out Day! I'm proud to stand with LGBTQI+ Oregonians and celebrate the courage it takes to live openly and authentically. Nobody should have to live in fear because of who they are, who they love, or how they identify 🏳️🌈
oh, it was national coming out day today? i mean, i've been out for years but just in case: hey! i'm rose, and i'm bisexual and nonbinary (she/they). my gender is mostly lots of shrugging
A little more than half a year ago I decided to begin an experiment where I Take HRT About It, and while I have not yet come to definitive conclusions—it neither solved my problems nor feels like poison—my overall opinion is to continue the experiment for now, and thus: Happy National Coming Out Day
I first started coming out to friends in 2009, Spring of Freshman year. I was socially out with friends from then on, it wasn't until 2016 that I had my first boyfriend and came out to my family
it’s still #nationalcomingoutday which is a good time to say that I’m 1. trans 2. going by D 3. still using they/them pronouns this is something I’ve been thinking about and working towards for a while, and I want to show up authentically for myself or for others—
I didn’t really want to do National Coming Out Day because I’m 40 and I’ve been out in some capacity or another since I was 13. But, I came out to myself as asexual and demiromantic this year, so I guess that’s worth a mention.
Hard agree. Queer people don't need a press release to be seen, but we'll take every bit of love on this one. Happy National Coming Out Day to our LGBTQ+ family. 🌈
On #NationalComingOutDay, we recognize the courage in every journey. Every person deserves to live and love freely, safely, and proudly. At CA DOJ, we will always stand with our LGBTQ+ communities.
Is it my internalized biphobia that I don't think it's worth me coming out as bisexual? But, I am. I don't try to hide it and plenty of people in my life know, but I don't really talk about it #onhere either, so, what the hell. 🏳️🌈
Just posted on my original FB account for the first time in maybe a year. Came out trans! Figured it made sense because... you know... the HRT?? Anyway, now everyone else knows. Hopefully I continue to have the support and acceptance I had coming out fluid 6 years ago #NationalComingOutDay
National Coming Out Day? I am Olivia. I am... no idea what I am, honestly. I don't fit in classical terms. I'm a femme-leaning nonbinary genderfluid. It's too quantum for a classical term. I hope one day, technology improves regarding self expression to the greatest degree, beyond VTubing.
It's National Coming Out Day Do not be shocked, but I am a lesbian. And trans. and a raging lefty. I am coming out as queer. I hope you will remain my... whatever you are.
Happy National Coming Out Day I'm glad enough to say I came out as Bi in 2021. Though for many years, I always knew I was Bi. I just wasn't comfortable enough to say it around others. But with all the new friends I made, I'm being a little more open about it.
A bit late for National Coming Out Day but I just wanted to share the time I was a senior in HS & my bsf at the time and I left to go eat lunch at Zaxbys, and I finally came out to her as bisexual, & she said “just don’t try to hit on ME!!!” So I told her “don’t worry, ur not my type” Her face:
Happy national coming out day! Remember that you never have to beg for love. Be weird, be queer, and indulge the pleasure, because if we don’t have each other, then what is there worth having?
Ok everyone is asleep so I can talk about this. I've been analyzing my gender identity and I've determined that it's much more complicated than originally assumed. I'm still a girl, definitely a woman, but identifying as a femboy recently has been really producing gender euphoria.
i saw one random post that said it was national coming out day… somewhere…. so while i use non-binary it is more complicated than this in practice i don’t really understand my gender, it sort of lightly orbits between M/F close to the center, not enough for fluid or one specific direction
My mom yesterday was like "do you know today is national coming out day!?" and I was like yes of course and she kind of sat there and waited. for me to...idfk what she wanted me to do.
Something I wasn't expecting ahead of transition: non-male friends starting to call me things like 'love' and 'lovely' (and 'queen' at least once). I never really had the type of friends who would call me 'mate' or 'bro' or anything like that before.
Hey, it's still Coming Out Day today, so let me tell you this: the world wants to meet the real you, because the real world rules. That's something it took me a long time to learn and I'm glad I finally did.
It's coming out day again! Hey, I'm Jeremy Whitley and I am demisexual and bi. It took me a long time to talk about my queerness, because I am happily married to a woman and wasn't sure if that made me not queer enough to talk about it. But seeing others come out helped me, so I hope to do the same.
So it's National Coming Out day. And it's been many years since I came out as a Trans woman. I'm proud to be trans. I'm happy to be Lexi. And even more happy I live with a stable roof over my head and live with the support network that I do umu.
Apparently today is National Coming Out Day but I have no more vectors on which to come out because I'm already out as a non-binary trans (maybe-/kinda-)dragongirl and a liberal.
On #NationalComingOutDay - it takes you back to when you uttered those words “I am gay”. See full post on On #NationalComingOutDay - lnkd.in/p/edZQjZbx #2004 came out as #gay #2015 came out as #HIV #2021 came out as #nonbinary Life is a journey of #comingout which is why this day matters!
Been thinking more about gender recently I'm bi, and have never felt like my gender (cis male) has really affected how I've seen myself. So it would be easy for me to just go "gender doesn't matter to me". But it isn't that simple.
Happy National Coming Out Day lovelies! 😊🙏❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 There is no time limit and you don't owe it to ANYBODY! You come out whenever and to whomever you feel comfortable with. Either way, there's a whole community out there who just wants you to be happy being you! ❤️
Sorry, I can’t work today. It’s National Coming Out Day, a sacred holiday for my people. 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️
Today is a helluva day to have been national coming out day Been feeling mad dysphoric these days. Esp as we've been going outside more and getting a handle of the agoraphobia... Honestly we kinda wanna go back to barley going outside (we won't) Bc making space for ourselves has been hard
its national coming out day! im still very super extremely asexual, and probably mostly aromantic too idk. kinda gay but i mostly just dont like anyone anymore dsfjkdhf everyone pisses me off 🙂↕️ happy coming out day to my fellow queers, and especially to those of us who dont quite know what we are 🌈
Not to be a damper on the day, but I can't wait for the day/time when we DON'T NEED a National Coming Out day. Where Queer people feel safe enough to be themselves and don't need to "come out". When we're treated with the same dignity as everyone else.
Oh I guess it's Coming Out Day I'm bisexual, poly, and NB: never ask me to make a decision about anything. And all of my OCs are queer.
it's national coming out day but i really cannot stress enough that if you don't feel safe doing it, you don't have to. it's scary out there right now.
I feel like such an outcast and a stereotype as a queer person at the same time... ⭐I listen to hip hop & rap ⭐I like RuPaul's Drag Race ⭐I'm a communist ⭐I'm a switch ⭐I'm non-binary, which is apparently still controversial amongst our community
I think, for the moment, while we're in this last hour of Coming Out Day, I will at least say I'm taking the step of removing my IRL first name from my bio as I haven't felt much connection to it for a very long time; Kimi is still fine as an interim handle Also trialing being an Any Pronouns guy
happy national coming out day, im thinking about when i came out to my mom and she said “oh honey i know”
In all seriousness: coming out is a complex process that people should do in environments and paces that they feel comfortable and safe with. You're not any less valid if you're not there yet, and we all hope you'll be able to be there eventually if you're not.
National Coming Out Day huh? Would be nice if I could to my family. My parents probably wouldn't care. Might not be happy or whatever (I'm fine with neutral tbh) but at least they probably wouldn't do anything. But with my extended family, I dunno....
I'm Mashichu/Peridot, I'm a trans woman and I have something to say today. I wish for every LGBT+ person who has to hide to who they are (regardless of the reason), that one day they're to live freely as themselves openly. Happy National Coming Out Day 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Happy LGBTQ+ History Month! Here's to our ancestors & queer elders! To those who lived boldly, publicly, and never backed down, but also to those who did so quietly, privately, wishing for a world where they could be and love who they wanted. 💗 Get our queer history book here: taplingzines.com
Also happy late Coming Out Day So a little story time I was deep into aroace YouTube and started identifying as asexual from June 2022-2024 because I didn’t feel like that carnal attraction to anyone Well fast forward to January of 2025 and um I found out I really really like men So now I’m gay yeah
#nationalcomingoutday take it from your sapphic queer 32 yo sister - please only come out to family if you know for a fact they won't kick you out. Take your time, many don't figure themselves out until they're 20+. IRL queer culture is so different from internet. RuPaul is transphobic.
"Oh but if you come out as trans you have a bunch of whole new friends and a community waiting for you" [laughs, in good nature, and then hysterically, and then sobbing laughter]
