Takeaways from the #Giants game today. • Winston throws like he sees people that aren't actually there. • Mooney can't catch when wide open. • The run game was lacking until OT. • The defense will let a mobile QB run. • Zvada couldn't hit the broadside of a barn... if he was inside the barn.

Based on success rate and EPA per drive, this is the worst an Eagles offense has performed through the first five weeks of a season this century. They have gone 3-and-out on over 45% of their offensive possessions -- last in the NFL.

The Giants' final offensive play of the game came on the Commanders' 24-yard line. It was a Cam Skattebo fumble. The Commanders' final offensive play of the game came on the Giants' 24-yard line. It was an unmitigated disaster. The lesson here? Avoid calling plays at the 24-yard line in OT.

  4. Ever since the Vikings took the lead against the Packers for good with 6:37 left in the 4th quarter, the Vikings were on a 208:14 streak of being either tied or ahead before the Saints pulled ahead in the 2nd quarter today For the season, Vikings tied/ahead for 235:43 out of a possible 300 minutes

  6. Entering today, the New York Giants were 0-230 since 1970 when they trailed by 14+ points in the final 8 minutes of regulation. ... They're now 0-230-1. Per ESPN Insights

Being an Eagles fan these days is actually very easy: most years, you've got one of the best teams in the league, full of cool players. And in the years they fall apart, we all bond over hating the same 2-3 guys and strapping them to a catapult and flinging them out of town

  8. Lead rushers vs Falcons this season Week 1: Jaylen Warren • 46 yds Week 2: Chuba Hubbard • 53 yds Week 3: MarShawn Lloyd • 11 yds Week 4: Alvin Kamara • 23 yds Week 5: Derrick Henry • 102 yds 🔥

The NFL Mafia exists. Always for NY Giants & Steelers. Those two pass offender calls on Robertson threw the game. We dominated it in every way. Football, sadly, is like politics. You have to win way too big to rig. Trying not to let this cheating all over every corner in DC kill my spirit.

The Commanders and Giants have now tied three times since overtime started in 1974. Packers-Vikings is the only other matchup to have three modern ties; Eagles-Bengals had two.

Anyone miss me? Doubtful. A self imposed international break from socials has expired. The teams I follow have been mostly woeful and results invariably added to the L column. However it was fun to go to #THFC to see #NFL live again.

  12. Re-Watch Takeaways: 1. Morgan: GOOD? 2. Belton: competent 3. Glover: It's time to start Zeitler 4. Passing O: Shoulda had 500 yards 5. LVN: won more than it initially appeared 6. LBs: can still play the run. Coverage...not so much 7. Gannon: so damn smart

Having slept on this overnight, I'm still angry about how the game ended but, the bigger point here (no pun intended) is that if the #Commanders kicker had secured the extra point after the 1st TD, all this would be academic, as the game would've ended 28-27 in Regulation. Sloppy as fuck.

the eagles, cardinals, and seahawks all lost today. we all thought tonight would change the trend, but a bird in the win column is worth two in the tie column

  15. The Commanders' OT disaster forces plenty of players to answer for a mess they didn't make. Without an immediate coaching change, the season may be lost. (It may be lost anyway.)

  16. I've hardly watched NFL games in, oh, the last 10 years (time flies when you're a mom). But my team is playing my husband's team, and I'm reminiscing about all the times we've shared around it. Superbowl parties, buying squares, fantasy bragging rights.

If you are a serious organization, and you've had this season, after missing the playoffs last season… you have to fire your coach after this! Your crosstown rivals fired their coach — who had the team solidly in the playoffs — for being just a bit unconvincing! #LAGalaxy

Sure wouldn't mind hearing Washington head coach Dan Quinn and offensive coordinator David Blough explain that last play call. Because they stole a tie from the jaws of victory.

  20. Oh and THE NFC EAST IS A COMPLETE CIRCUS 🤡💀 CAUSE I STILL WANT TO KNOW WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENDING OF THE COMMANDERS/GIANTS GAME?!?! 😭 The clock management was a DISASTER. That was some of the lowest football IQ I’ve ever seen. Absolutely inexcusable. #nfl #commanders #giants

  21. @chairmanbrando.org

Well, that might be the dumbest game ending I’ve seent. Someone needs to check the Washington offensive coordinator’s bank accounts for shenanigans.

The end to the Giants-Commanders game is up there on the list of things that make you laugh uncontrollably, possibly close to the time on The Amazing Race the woman had the unfortunate watermelon experience

Alright the Jake Matthews goal line design has gotta be scrapped. He dropped a wide open TD against Arizona last year. Now tonight. It’s a damn shame
