Say (when) they receive a hefty points deduction, what of the results this season? Sure they've lost points, but their cheating will have impacted champions league places and even relegation. The incoming points deduction this season isn't enough.

Still annoyed at yesterday. I can take losing. I expected it. On paper they have the much better side. That's not what's annoyed me as much. To offer no real fight or desire to get back into the game against 10 men against your rivals is absolutely shameful stuff.

Man City cheated with money manipulation. The traditional big 6 are cheating by not allowing others to invest to recognise ambition. It's all cheating and should be recognised as such.

Drury and Neville sympathising with the wonderful bunch of Man City fans, and the team, none of the blame is on them Have you ever heard such bullshit??? The PL credibility and reputation are thrashed until City are punished #LIVMCI

looking at fixtures, and from 24 november, when we host borussia dortmund until 16 january, when we travel to hull, every single fixture is in the city of london.

If they insist on having the south coast derby on a Sunday then I think the Monday after should legally be a bank holiday for sotonians (work is a struggle today)

  7. Going to be interesting listening to the football podcasts this morning trying to get the balance between how good City are and how meaningless this now all is I suspect that last weekend might have been as good as it gets for the competition No saving this season unfortunately

really wish every journalist speaking a word on the Man City charges understood what a compounding advantage is. It's the bare minimum

  9. As ever, @arseblog.com puts my thoughts into words better than I could. I was looking forward to the game, but even before City scored I realised how pointless it all felt. I don't even really know what the rest of the table looks like, and that's unheard of for me. Feels so flat.

the feelings amongst reds fans this morning will spread to every other football club that city play this season. If the PL does not act soon, this could get really messy. Fans stopped the superleague, they could bring the PL to a halt too. #YNWA

Interesting attitudes as to City case here. Wonder who comissioned this (if anyone)

I really dont get how man city fans are burying their heads in the sand on here and celebrating like nothings wrong. How are they not calling for these charlatans to be run out of their club? Sportswashing in full effect.

The athletic’s (and wider media’s) coverage of city this morning is so WEIRD. Not to mention people in the comments and on social media telling city fans they should be ashamed of winning? Deary me, get a life or some kinda hobby

This whole Man City thing is strengthen my disgust for the “elite” level of Association Football. I’ve been genuinely losing interest in the game for many years and this is just making it worse. I see a big reset coming.

City supporters are under no allusions of what gone on at their club They have rode the wave that was offered to them We would have done the same There was even a pic of our supporters wearing sheik outfits when we thought they were coming in for us Yes it’s shyte but 🤷‍♂️

  16. 👍 Nobody is saying anything until the appeal is decided. I won't be surprised if City win the appeal, & if they lose it will be interesting to see how they are punished. The Premier League is all about money first. For the love of money is the root of all evil...(Bible)

"Would have" I see we are at the point of using hypotheticals to excuse our shite performances. Surely there can't be anyone left still voicing support for this fucking fraud.

I'm surprised people are surprised City fans didn't show more contrition yesterday. When the opportunity arises, ALWAYS lean into the heel role.

  19. R5live discussing City again. Bert was just on saying “the whole of football is benefitting from City’s academy, all the divisions are riddled with our explayers but no club is moaning about that”

  20. @hmilfeld.bsky.social

Boy did I pick the wrong night to cover someone’s shift at work tonight instead of going to the City SC match. Team is looking more and more like a friggin’ wagon

  21. @stja.bsky.social

Chelsea are fine. They didn't do anything wrong. Don't ask me how or why. I don't really understand. That's just how it is. Always.

Not sure whether to buy a 2nd City player for the game vs IPS, Doku looks the one or maybe Cherki, City are going to be a head scratch team for various reasons, but points be points innit.

  23. @redcol.bsky.social

Is right They are now supporting the lawfare that the club is engaged in. No contrition just blinded by the silverware won by cheating

Most people are hoping City get the severe punishment they deserve but the fact it’s hope rather than expectation is all you need to know about the so called best league in the world.. #corrupt

Great as always! As a minimum what this City ownership and fandom has demonstrated is - that the Sportwashing works even in "developed" countries.

City are imperious. They're very, very good. It's almost like they have used state sponsorship to collect all the best players from other teams to make one superteam, skewing finances in the game in the process, costing fans of other clubs. #lufc

"When the verdict comes out I will definitely have my opinion." Virgil van Dijk has indicated he will share his opinion on Manchester City's guilty verdict after their appeals process has been heard by the Premier League's independent commission. www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/footba...

  3. One positive that will come from this limbo period is I think a lot of City fans and players will eradicate any misplaced sympathy for them. Not least the players who joined while this was all out in the relative open.

  4. All sorts of different figures covering different time periods (look for dates on graphics) You can see City were spending like a top club well before they shouldve been able to do so (according to the 'rules') But, sporting-wise, they were spending at a similar rate

  5. Even if City get booted from the league, what about other competitions? Do they take PSG's European approach and play rested stars across domestic and European cups and sweep them? Does anything have credibility this season?

  6. @davewolinski.bsky.social

The mask has fully dropped hasn’t it, the reporting on the City fans is beyond absurd. This “it’s the owners not the club we take issue with” fully out the window because the away supporters *checks notes* had fun? Still waiting to read an actual alternative too, just pious shite and head shaking.
