I love birds, I love games, I love games about birds. So cool to see all these bird games grouped and discounted. Personally would recommend A Short Hike, it's short, cheap, and so cosy. Flock Around is also worth checking out, cheap and fun with friends. store.steampowered.com/sale/BirdsOf...

Sovereign Tower! I knew I was going to enjoy the style of art and from friends playing, but it's surprisingly funny and its mechanics weave so beautifully into the story. It's a management esque games where u send knights on quests, oft compared to Dispatch. store.steampowered.com/app/4113940/...

Playing Control Resonant right now. Every time I think this game can't get any weirder, it says check this shit out gayboy. I would massively, massively recommend it. You don't need to be fully up on what's going on in the other Remedy games. It starts with a really great recap of Control 1.

  4. @sprintingowl.bsky.social

Hey if you like things that look really good, Howl is a gorgeous game. It's a relatively simple puzzler where enemies move when you do, but it also dumps a ton of tools on you and lets you move through levels the way you want. store.steampowered.com/app/2172180/...

  5. @bimbo.city

i love browsing new steam releases because i find so many things i just wouldn't have expected or known about like here's a free german isometric adventure game, based around an incredibly popular german television show? wild. i've never heard of any of this! store.steampowered.com/app/3975470/...

  6. @chronovore.bsky.social

Zero Company is really good. The turn-based combat still manages to feel like #starwars and the storytelling is well-written and directed. Nice to feel good about a full-price purchase for once. store.steampowered.com/app/2075800/...

  7. @galacteddy.bsky.social

for a 13 euro game dressmaker is genuinely insane. a lesser studio might have just done the dressmaking part, but they wrote these characters so beautifully, and the storyline as it evolves is so interesting and fun and it really does make you WANT to make fun dresses for these women. genuinely wow

    Opinion
  8. I've been seeing a lot of people loving the Steam game #Dressmaker so thought I'd share this story about the creator: his wife has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and can't sew anymore so he created the game to give her back her hobby 🥹😭 mashable.com/entertainmen...

  9. @bunboyaoi.bsky.social

I have been obsessed with two games lately outside of FFXIV: Dressmaker and No More Room In Hell 2 Dressmaker is that viral dressmaking game and it's just so fun and relaxing. You can really let your creativity flow. NMRIH2 feels like a better spiritual success to L4D2 than the actual one (1/2)

  10. @errant-signal.com

I know I'm the last person to the party, but Dressmaker really is pretty amazing. I was worried it would be overly technical but no, it's the perfect level of abstraction and structure for a creative game. Tactile yet primarily about economic tradeoffs and creative impulses.

The 11 games I really hope I can get to before the end of the year, in order of games I feel most certain that I'll at least get *some* playtime with to those I feel least certain about. 1. Virtue and a Sledgehammer plz just let me play this game now. store.steampowered.com/app/3743260/...

  12. @gwenckatz.bsky.social

Since I spent all day listing demos I didn't like, here's one I loved: Beast Breaker. Interesting, unique geometry-based gameplay, charming art, lovable characters. Looking forward to playing the full game. store.steampowered.com/app/4011790/...

Lately I've been playing Fields of Mistria and Dressmaker, which are both very cozy and fun and full of whimsy (highly recommend). I also recently bought Torchlight 3. I loved the 2nd one so I'm excited to get into it, especially now that I'm finished raiding for the expac. 😁

"hey fauna has anyone ever made a game for you specifically" so there's a dark souls 'em up where you play as a doll who is looking for her lesbian lover store.steampowered.com/app/3746300/...

Arknights:Endfield is better than it has any right to be (shout to @pineapplecat14.bsky.social for putting me on this one). Zenless Zone Zero remains one of the most fun action games you can play on mobile. BG3 durge run? in 2026? why not? Last but not least - Iron Nest is a hoot.

I WAS A DAY 1 DRAGON'S DOGMA 2 FAN AND THIS GAME'S DARK ARISEN HAS TURNED A NICHE 9/10 TO AN ABSOLUTE 10/10. THE GAMEPLAY IS SPECTACULAR. THE LEVEL DESIGN IS SO INTELLIGENT. THE DLC IS ACTUALLY DIFFICULT. THIS WAS MADE FOR ME AND ME ALONE. THE GAME IS MORE ACCESSIBLE THAN EVER. PLAY IT PLAY IT PLAY

  17. Currently playing Pokopia with my kiddo. (Highly recommend; the best game in the Pokemon franchise, though it's not a Pokemon style game.) I'm also replaying Ocarina of Time on my 3DS as I prepare for the remake. (Also highly recommend, as it is a crucial piece of gaming history. And damn fun.)

  18. I tried Witcher 3 Remastered to check out its new PM and got sucked back in right away. I thought I finished the main story but apparently I gave up after arriving at Skellige and saw all the new ? pop up 😂 I still have to play the DLCs so I‘m chipping away at it now. 10/10 always recommend!

  19. @nottheauthor.bsky.social

back on my factorygame bullshit revisiting Dyson Sphere Program and River Town Factory. Both are quite good; DSP is fairly straightforward but the semi-limited building space creates a nice tension; RTF is fun and more varied, but I'm unsure what to do with myself at times.

  20. @bigpapanito.bsky.social

Nearly finished Mortal Shell 2 (a great soulsborne btw). Never clicked with Witcher 3 in the past but have that as an option (now it's all been made pretty like and had the jank filled down) or Pragmata (that looks like 360 game concept that got a 2nd chance) Or maybe Mortal Shell 2 NG+

  21. @luke-garou.bsky.social

With the end of the weekend nigh, I probably got 15-ish hours in with Dark Arisen. It's a lot of fun, though my fun is a little stunted by not having all my vocations maxed. But, that's my fault, not the game. Definitely recommend the pickup if you wanna revisit DD2 or play for the first time!

  22. @shademeadows.bsky.social

I do this a lot on Discords I'm in, and I should start doin' it 'ere as well! So, when I'm made aware of a free Steam game (a paid game that's free to keep if ya get it before a deadline), I'll share it 'ere! So... Pony Island is free 'till tomorrow! store.steampowered.com/app/405640/P...

  23. @crowdalova.bsky.social

Take it from someone who’s been playing for over a decade, you NEED other games, ideally in completely different genres than MMO or even RPG. I personally have been really enjoying Power Wash Simulator/2 and Pokopia, both of which have minimal story and require basically no higher brain function.

  24. @exirandffxiv.bsky.social

Even though I still log on daily to ffxiv to do a few roulettes, I'm currently playing through Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave and I regularly play Pokopia as well 😌 I'd obviously recommend both games but I feel like they both cater to a certain niche (?) so idrk 😅

  25. @reevest.bsky.social

I know I like to joke every time I play a game and the protagonist is an awkward stutterer at times that it’s me, but if you wanna know *me*- no one else comes anywhere as close, as Dylan Faden. This is me asking you to please play Control Resonant 🙏

    Recommendation
  26. @degni.bsky.social

I legit don't know what's gonna be my next game. I'm thinking something shorter than Control (took me almost 32 hours to beat it with 40/49 achievos) like one of the survivor games from this month's Humble Choice. Idk, I just installed Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon just in case.

    Personal
  27. FFXI... i would absolutely recommend if: - you dont mind a huge time sink - you have extra cash to pay for another MMO sub or ur not committed to any other subs rn - you dont mind the grindiness and lots of backtracking - you dont mind the jankiness of an old school MMO

  28. Stumbled upon this one: store.steampowered.com/app/3640820/... Some survival horror game that looks very atmospheric with some light Silent Hill vibes?

    Recommendation
  29. I’m working my way through Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu. Because I am the kind of autistic for Pokemon that needs to compete the game specific pokedexes on Pokemon Home. I’m also trying to get into Final Fantasy XIII

  30. @numbers.bsky.social

Making games is hard and it shouldn't be a goal when a game you make succeeds, but it would be incredible if Dressmaker's success down the line leads to a sequel. It can expand even more on outfits and accessories, and most importantly have the characters wear and pose in the dresses!

  31. @bundcake.bsky.social

Besides my classics line Destiny 2, I’ve been playing Control Resonant. Really cool so far, all Remedy games I’ve been playing are choice Fields of Mistria is also something cute to relax to

  32. @brynholdon.bsky.social

I saw the Mononoke No Kuni at PAX West and it seemed interesting. I tried the demo last night and it seems like a game I'll like! store.steampowered.com/app/2597610/...

  33. A game I played a couple years back and HIGHLY vouch for is the OG pikmin. Grab dolphin emulator and and a rom (or whatever its called) and give its a shot!! REALLY good little game and its only like. 6-9 hours top, depending on how fast you beat it.

    Recommendation
  34. @memor-x.bsky.social

on PC there Octopath Traveler 2, Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy Mystic Quest with Archipelago, Hitman World of Assassination, should get back into Spellforce and Assassins Creed Odyssey at some point Console i got Clair Obscur and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and yes would recommend any game i play

  35. I am currently having a blast with One Piece Odyssey now that I am all caught up with the anime! The perfect way to fill the void until next season! I also am chipping away at different routes in Collar x Malice VN, though I’m a bit more sporadic about making time for it.

    Personal
  36. @anhofo.bsky.social

of the games I've been playing currently, i've been gradually going thru fire emblem: fortunes weave, picked up little goody two-shoes again after a long stream hiatus, and persona 4 golden! tbh, I havent gotten far enough in either p4g or fefw them, especially since the latter is a switch2 game +

    Personal
  37. @pinen.etheirys.social

Dissidia Duellum, mainly, and I do recommend it given how it's hella generous for a gacha game. Also the season pass is only like 3-4 dollars for 3ish months

    Recommendation
  38. @astoria.etheirys.social

honestly? genshin lore has been JUICY so i've been grinding primos for tsaritsa and noy. overwatch is eternal ofc, and i've also been playing fortnite with my irls lately! emoting and being silly as sora kingdom hearts is so fun

  39. @dawnforged.bsky.social

Sandrock. Play My Time at Sandrock. Do it. Play it now. It's so good. The lore and the world-building is so good. PLAY SANDROCK RIGHT NOW— *dragged away kicking and screaming*

  40. I'M BRINGING DEMOCRACY TO THE GALAXY! (But for real I bought Helldivers II on sale and I've been enjoying it much more than I thought I would, and the satire is ON POINT)

  41. @steampunk.vtubers.social

#Skyrim is most definitely a keeper! I added the Anniversary Edition DLC, as well as Morrowind to my Steam Wishlist for later enjoyment. I also want to play Oblivion Remastered (mainly because of #SirPatrickStewart), but like I said with #Enshrouded, it ain't happening on Frodo! #explorerofworlds
