This afternoon has turned into a bit of punk. Comparing imports of a record made in the UK. Thd Japanese pressing smashes the Rhino Hifi from the US. Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols #vinyl #NowPlaying #NowSpinning #vinylcommunity #music
The Stone Roses (Silvertone ORE LP 502, 1989) Bought this import in May 1989 after reading about them in NME and hearing “Made of Stone” on legendary Grand Rapids deejay Steve Aldrich’s WLAV show Clambake. I remember grownups dismissing it as poor-imitation Jimi Hendrix and thinking, Well he’s dead motherfucker and these guys aren’t. @vinylrecords #vinyl #StoneRoses #wlav
From the "glad/surprised I'm not the only one who wanted this one back in print" files, Todd Rundgren's massively underrated album where all sounds come from his voice. Beautiful harmonies rubbing elbows with explorations of the Emulator II in the same neighborhood as the most experimental industrial musicians at the time. The Runt's one of those artists who does what we'd all like to imagine we'd do if we got a lucky break like writing "I Saw The Light" and producing Bat Out of Hell - namely, whatever he wanted. #Vinyl #NowPlaying
Space Afrika • Quiet Storm Picked this up based on the album cover and band name and it has been on constant repeat since. Stellar moods. #vinyl @vinylrecords #Illbient #TripHop #ambient #nowPlaying #heavyRotation
