As expected, the Labour government has accepted 27 recommendations of a report into #antisemitism in British schools. The report suggests that antisemitism is a major problem, but its solutions are not exactly credible. They focus on killing solidarity with Palestinians, and re-educating children to make them pro-Israel. A key argument for this moral panic is that three out of five Jewish pupils have experienced antisemitism in schools. However, that figure comes from a survey of 5,000 kids, only 92 of who were Jewish. That’s right, the sample size was just 92!

Those 92 kids were asked if they’d personally experienced antisemitism at school and only 70 responded. Twenty-nine said yes—that’s less than one in three of those asked! Only 12% of the kids who responded said they felt antisemitism was a problem at their school and only 2% said it was a big problem. You can count the number of kids who felt antisemitism was a problem at their school with your fingers. Yet the government decided that means antisemitism must be put into its own special category of racism and treated more seriously than the others. You might wonder how the report could get it so badly wrong. Well, let’s take a look at the author, Sir David Bell. He sits on the council of the Academic Group for the Study of Israel and the Middle East—a charity whose main focus is to oppose #BDS. This post does not criticise antisemitism my intention is to highlight how that has been used to service the nefarious, secular demands of Israel. 1. The latest opinion polls suggest that Andy Burnham (whatever we think of him here) has managed to repair the assessment of the Labour leadership as incoming PM..... This data also suggest the relentless attacks on Zack Polanski of the Green Party of England & Wales have hit home with voters, with both Polanski & the Fascist Frog polling a negative rating of nearly 30%. But this may all change once John Healey has delivered the budget next week.... #politics

  2. Q. is the rush by the private sector to expand social care provision set to undermine the ability of Andy Burnham's Govt. to establish a National Care Service? Well, it seems the Care Quality Commission, thinks that this fragmentation may well be doing that before the NCS has even got off the drawing board. Will this be another example of Burnham's 'politics of trying'; 'we *tried* to fix social care, but we cannot without annoying private firms'??? #care #politics bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cke8r6…

  3. Across the country people know the value of migrants who work across a range of sectors *and* contribute to the country's culture & economy, yet the Labour Govt. like its Tory predecessors continues to deny this value, seeking to denigrate migrants in an attempt to appeal to voters with 'legitimate concerns' about immigration. As Gaby Hinsliff, argues this hasn't worked on its now terms, and has also undermined the value of migrants to the UK. #immigration #politics theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
