There are many birds in the garden these days. Gardenbirding now means trying to count the redwings flying in and out of the garden and flying around in circles above it. I almost get dizzy trying to photograph them while flying around 🙂 . There are about 7 or 8 Yellowhammers doing the same. Blackbirds have come from the north and their number has gone from 1 or 2 to 4 or 5, coming and going. And then there many pigeons, Chaffinches and jackdaws (whole groups) at the moment. Many more than normal. Trying to count them is impossible, did a new group of redwings arrive, or is it the same group flying around? Today I saw 7 at the same time, but it might well have been 30 (or more) of them in all. #denmark

A rook/ Walnusskrähe on the red top of a flagpole holding a walnut (hard to see, but it should be) in it's beak. It is a very common sight at the moment and makes me wonder where the walnut trees are! I only know 1, about 3 kilometers away.a redwing flying, pictured from underneath. its wings are half spread, showing the orange colour at the base of the wings. The rest of the wings is rather white(ish).

  2. I didn't see baby butcherburd number 3 this morning - possibly still sleeping in the nest again. The other two seem pretty comfortable moving out into their tree (I assume they're staying where ever they were last fed, but increased mobility means they're moving to where their parents land) #photography #birds
