What happens the first time you open it.
No account, no form, no confirmation email. This is the whole of it.
You're asked for a name
Type the one you want and Wildroot checks it. Four characters or more, a short list is held back, and you can hold up to five.
Keys are made on your machine
The keys that control the name are generated locally and stored on your device. They are never sent to us.
The name is registered
You get yourname.w3. No wallet, no tokens, no
transaction for you to sign or pay for.
Your services are created
Your mailbox and social accounts are set up for you in the background — usually a minute or two, not instantly.
You start using it
Publishing your first page is one click, and so is opening your mail or either social account. You never type a password.
What is stored where
- On your deviceThe keys that control your name, and the vault that holds your saved credentials.
- On our serversYour published page, your mailbox and its contents, your social accounts. Ordinary hosting, run by us.
- Never sent to usYour control keys, and your vault password if you set one.
Because the control keys live on your machine and not on our servers, we cannot recover them for you. Back up your vault. This is the honest trade for keys we never hold.
