I've just watched Maze Runner, that sci-fi flick from the strange time where Hollywood adapted all those Young Adult novels because the Hunger Games was kind of successful. The movie is so damn weird. Nothing makes sense. It's ok if YA novels are just allegories about growing up and power fantasies for teenagers. But the story is just too contrived and doesn't even bother to have this subtext. #moviereview

After Maze Runner I watched the sequel. It's a post-apocalyptic fast zombie movie with teenagers who don't need to hydrate or brush their teeth. Usually when a movie has a group of people in it, everybody has a special skill so there can be interesting puzzles or character developments. But this movie avoids all of that by focusing on the main guy while the others are mostly off screen. Do they even have names? One of them is a girl but that also doesn't affect the plot. Lame. #moviereview

This week is #movies #review week First up: the latest #Insidious Core thesis: if something still works after it’s already dead, squeeze every last drop out of it - even if it’s just an old man’s snot. Applies to the plot, the structure, and the entire franchise Paused the agent hunt, decided to butcher my book one more time. Extra time appeared - used to be picky as hell, researched everyone, wrote only to the ones who might actually answer #writingcommunity #blog #photography #Cinemastodon

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
