Very sorry to hear that Tom Skerritt has passed away. I think most sci-fi fans will remember him best as Captain Dallas in Alien (my first, and last, X-certificate film, as I think the classifications changed not long afterwards). However, the first time I encountered Tom Skerritt was, perhaps inevitably, in an episode of The Time Tunnel. He played the morally conflicted Matthew Gebhardt, who was part of a plot against Abraham Lincoln in ‘The Death Trap’. R.I.P. #TomSkerritt #TheTimeTunnel
