Just finished Birds of Prey vol. 1 and 2 by Kelly Thompson and really had a good time with them! Very fun, super cool action, great characterization. The fake “plate misaligned” coloring style is a little blurry but the art overall is spectacular, especially Leo Romero’s pencils. More Big Barda pls

The cover to DC Comics’ Birds of Prey vol. 1 “Megadeath” by Kelly Thompson, Leonardo Romero, Jordie Bellaire, and others. Funnily enough Harley Quinn is not in volume 2 of this series. Almost as if she was a marketing booster. Oh comics! The cover to DC Comics’ Birds of Prey vol. 2 “Portal to the Unknown” by Kelly Thompson, Javier Pina, Gavin Guidry, Jordie Bellaire, and others.Photo

I’m afraid the Legion is one of the few areas of DC Comics I’ve never really been able to get into. It feels too alienated from the rest of the line to me. But I’ve gathered from fans that if it is for you, then the Levitz/Giffen era is where to get on board. #ngl

Ever since I first read Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank, I’ve been interested in reading more Legion of Super-Heroes. However, this franchise’s particularly convoluted history has scared me off from trying so far. Any suggestions for good entry points? Thanks!

Caught up on Flash #33–37 by Ryan North & Gavin Guidry and I love the basis for Wally's "Flashes of Insight." At first I dismissed it as some hokey random power-up post–Absolute Power but I should have known North would bring more to it. It's also Minority Report done right. Excited for next issue!
