The breakup scene in The Social Network is delivered at such a rapid pace that you feel like you need to catch up to the characters, which is a fantastic way to set the tone of the film. moviesanduspod.podbean.com?utm_source=b... #moviesandus #thesocialnetwork #filmsky

the degree to which twitter doesnt want you to actually use it keeps going up, amazing
Social media brainrotted an entire generation. It’s entertainment that feels like activism to some. Some users got hooked early on the dopamine hit of instant feedback. It rewards the most histrionic and compulsive users. Arguing on social media is a form of procrastination.

Everybody wants more friends in person... So why does it feel like this half the time 😆

"Male socialization" straggot, a lot of my best friends growing up were girls because of how much more femininity resonated with me. And that's before the autism. If I was "socialized" as anything, it's an animal who'll never belong anywhere. Well, I do belong somewhere. Don't like it? Tough. #trans

Doing Politics on social media makes you really good at holding accountable other people who spend a lot of time on social media. Unfortunately very few of those same folks hold actual power around the horrors of the present moment we all say we must combat.
Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
