    I think part of the reason I feel a weird kinship with the trans debate despite being cis is there seems to be at least some overlap with "maybe the browns shouldn't have to go on TV to explain their basic rights" but alas

    Yes. THIS. This is what the media has come to. They don’t want to defend basic democratic and moral principles, instead they feel like their job is to give equal airtime to the most bigoted, ignorant and discriminatory people who want to strip minorities of their basic rights.

    Too right. Lisa Nandy/Ofcom/IPSO should be all over the fact that journalists and presenters are acting as though it’s a reasonable issue to debate. Credit to Fiona Bruce on QT last week because she was all over Suella Braverman, however, many of her colleagues are making this a mainstream issue.
