Howard deserves the criticisms for his neoliberal governing. But don’t forget he built on the neoliberal foundations created by the Hawke regime. And now Albanese continues the tradition that sees Australia hurtling towards oligarchy. The West won the Cold War. Russia won the aftermath. #auspol

Have neoliberal morons ever actually had power? What did they do with their "power" once they had it? What are the great accomplishments that should impress us so much?

:"Neoliberalism has never worked where it’s been tried, but the rich love it so it’s not going anywhere". Bit like a poker machine: most people lose, a few people win big, and the house loves it.

France has been pursuing what has been...a neolib progrm under Macron. Taxes on business & wealth...reduced or reformed. Labour mkts...liberalised. The retirement age...inc. Public spending...constrained. Competitiveness...prioritised. And the assumption was that growth wld follow. It has not.

Decades of neoliberal scamonomics have led to social wealth trickling up to a tiny parasitical elite. We need politicians who will repossess what has been taken from us and use it to repair our broken society and economy.

  6. I think the relative peace of the neoliberal consensus and the rise of technocratic thought led people into a false sense of security. The work never stops. It’s to always be mad about the thing you’re mad about. And one reason the right is winning is because they don’t forget that.

  7. Is France signalling the end of neoliberalism? As a matter of fact, people will only stand for abuse from a financial system designed to oppress them for so long. France and maybe Spain seem to be indicating they've had enough. youtu.be/CpRl1ajsj-k?...

The absolute hatred some people have for Contrapoints still baffles me. She basically founded breadtube. But now I guess she's an evil neoliberal centrist Clintonite for *checks notes* wanting people to vote for Democrats and *checks more notes* refusing to make a video about Gaza.

Even thinking in a secular manner, endorsement of MAiD by the centre left confuses me, because MAiD is clearly, to me, a euphemism for a far-right neoliberal regime of doctors murdering their patients, particularly the poor and disabled. I don’t understand how people apparently square it.

  10. At the Labour conference last week, Andy Burnham promised “a Britain where people feel the country has got their back again”. To make good on that pledge, he will have to change almost everything. He will do Fuck all. I do not think Burnham has the balls to take on the Neoliberal MSM

Anyway, it might be a lot of me talking about what’s happening in France, the country I’m from for those of you not in the know It’s been harrowing to see the government response that would rather a child’s hand and forearm be blown off by a stun grenade than disobey the neoliberal austerity order

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
