Great, rendering bugs in a vastly unconfigured #Emacs, just by typing text in #Markdown mode, reproducible with various monospace fonts. Missing pixels in some letters, which appear as soon as the cursor is moved on them/a selection includes them. Not enough time/energy/motivation for yet another rabbit hole…

Cloudflare's Markdown for Agents now streams HTML conversion at the edge and accepts up to 6 MiB of decompressed HTML. Converted responses also drop `x-markdown-tokens`, `x-original-tokens`, and `Content-Length`. If your crawler uses those headers, check its token budgeting and response handling. developers.cloudflare.com/chan…

I have technology thoughts today, apparently. One of them is, we are not using plain text enough. It's been years now since I've written almost exclusively in plain text, markdown, or LaTeX and it's the best. Smaller file sizes. Stable. Archive-able. No software updates. Nothing proprietary. ✅

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
