I have long said we need to take a page from the French, who know how to protest and get shit done. Look y’all, the GOP and Trump are already talking about martial law, seizing ballots, and generally not allowing a free election. You need to know that could happen. It’s unlikely, but possible. It is a hell of a lot easier to do a general strike and shut a country down if you have guaranteed health care whether or not you have a job or can afford it. I think one reason they deny Medicare for All so much is that the GOP knows fear of loss of health care keeps people from rising up.

I agree Americans refusing to mass worker strike for more than a day is the primary reason we're living this hell. I advocate for it nearly every single day across social medias. Nobody ever responds.

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
