Vale.Rocks already showed my @codepen.io pens in the firehose, but with CodePen's new fully featured REST API v2 I've made some improvements. My site now shows all my pens directly on my site with their own dedicated pages. I love open APIs! vale.rocks/demos

Testing an API shouldn't require firing up a heavyweight app that takes forever to load. Bruno is a lightweight, open-source API client built for exactly that: fast, clean, and focused on getting requests tested without the bloat. openalternative.co/bruno

Cloudflare's API MCP server now serves its skills. An agent can discover them with `skills/list` and read `skill://` files, if its MCP client supports the extension. I'd check that client support before adding the server URL; a working API connection alone doesn't mean the skills will show up. developers.cloudflare.com/chan…

Here's a cool I just tried and it worked great. I pointed my agent at a cool Pen I was working on with variable fonts. I said "go pull the files from this Pen and incorporate the idea into the header of this local WordPress site I'm working on" It worked great.

it didn’t occur to me that Ed is the one to talk about something I worry about a lot: people scamming my relatives by spoofing my identity in a call or video. their phone should obviously be able to tell them whether it’s actually me. my parents can’t understand the concept of a passphrase

  9. Came across PWAStore.io, which is a cool concept, making use of the new navigator.install API in Chromium. I've added the official #Mastodon server to it, as it is a pretty good PWA: pwastore.io/app/mastodon

I have been digging more deeply into things with my Steam Deck, and soon, thanks to a kind friend, will have a Steam Controller to do this with as well, but once you see what it’s like when a game uses the Steam Input API, you’ll wish every game did.

it's a bit unbecoming that a seven hundred billion param model had to go brrr and brrr just because some dipshits wouldn't bother to add an export button (credit where it's due, Kagi Assistant does have session export, it just sucks), alas. enjoy: tangled.org/refinement.s...

Marc Lou is a huge inspiration for why I build in public. But I didn’t know Beehiiv is expensive than I thought since I’m on the free tier. Now I’m thinking of expanding my paid newsletter feature after I finish version 1 of my CMS boilerplate and forking MailCheap somehow. #buildinpublic

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
