When I was a young teen, back in socal, I lived in a gated apartment complex. Every other day I would walk around that whole place, sometimes do laps. Would help me calm down. Sometimes talk to other kids who were always older, sometimes mean. I was too dumb to know when I wasn't wanted.

I just found out that putting butter on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is not only uncommon, but considered crazy??? This was SO normal where I'm from. Everyone did it. Is this just a SoCal thing or something?? This is the only PB&J that I know. My life has been a lie and I need to know why.

Been having end of lease conversations with my parents and talking a lot about our plans for after the lease is up and where we’ll all be and it’s just so, so exciting!! So exciting to be starting a new chapter in my life and cannot wait to be in the PNW finally and to just be moved out of SoCal. 🥹

While all eyes are understandably on Isaias, a much rarer event is possible in San Diego where a tropical storm may make landfall on Sunday. This almost never happens because waters are usually too cold to support tropical activity near SoCal, but strong El Niño+global warming says otherwise.

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
