Kids event at work has me goofing around with picture frames, #yarn, and #foam. Helped one girl make a #cat earlier but its just a nice quite sit down for me today. Will admit its nice when they're polite, I should start handing them out stickers. I did a #pumpkin as a sample, how extra.

Made my niece a yarn bowl. I used reclaimed oak from an old pallet in the middle and on top. I thought it was all spalted but when I was turning it in the lathe I noticed the pieces in the middle were actually water stained. The top piece is spalted and they came from the same pallet. Oh well.

New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service.
