Something worth noting. It's not that everyone is getting sick right now with COVID (it's part of it), but more so how COVID sicknesses have screwed with our immune systems. It's why sicknesses for a lot of people tend to be harsher than atypical. Vaccination hesitation to typical seasonal stuff>

"SARS-CoV-2 is linked to “an unusually high level of ‘indiscriminate’ killing of T cells,”6 says Leitner, adding that this observation is “reminiscent of” measles, which can cause immune amnesia by depleting memory B cells"

"The immune system is like a memory bank. Every #vaccination or recovery from infection is a deposit that's filed away. Then when someone encounters certain pathogens in the future, the immune system remembers how to fight them off. "But #measles can wipe out that memory bank, erasing as much as 73% of someone's hard-won immunity..." cidrap.umn.edu/measles/measles…

Gut microbes shape the body’s response to vaccination. Researchers led by Ruth Ley discovered that the human gut microbiome may help determine how strongly the immune system reacts to vaccination, with bacterial flagellins contributing to inflammatory responses: www.bio.mpg.de/569449/news_...

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
