I've only read 3 of her books, but Emily St. John Mandel has become one of my favorite authors and I was eagerly anticipating the release of Exit Party. What a pleasant surprise that it was just sitting there ready to download from the library! I thought I'd have wait at least a couple weeks. From what I've seen with the other books of hers, there's usually a link or common thread between stories. Still looking for that here. #FridayReads #AmReading #Books #Bookstodon #Fiction @bookstodon

  3. #favelinefriday bonus q: a willow, deceptively bendy and forgiving but shockingly resilient with roots that will bust through foundations to get what they need (don’t ask me about the zero draft working title where I used tree names as metaphors, just know I’ve thought about this)

Looking for some book recs: something sci-fi, fantasy, horror or speculative. Something to help me process grief. Something metaphorical, maybe. Something you found beautiful?

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
