    Well said, @emilymbender. For years I’ve been giving a lecture on ethics in AI and our relationships with machines. Your point about projecting interpretations is so spot on it had me raising my fist when I read it. 😂 In discussions after my talks, people have often asked about empathy/emotions in machines. I always note that we’re looking at it the wrong way. There can be a genuine exchange of emotion, but it’s in how we view the exchange, not how the machine views it.     agreed! once you’ve been told the truth, you’re now responsible for setting your own boundaries & deciding what you’re willing to accept. don’t blame someone else for playing with your emotions when you continue to entertain a situation that doesn’t align with what you want.
