One potential disease they don't mention: ovarian #cancer, which often presents with many of these symptoms (see link in 2/2) & doctors often rule out simpler issues first. Post- and peri-menopausal women & those with history of endometriosis, are at higher risk. 1/2 www.nytimes.com/2026/09/28/w...

  2. cw cancer: . . . to top it all off, one of Mom's friends was diagnosed with the cancer that took Dad. We're roughly 5 years (less 5 weeks) since he passed. I'm not sure I'm yet in a space where I can help, but Mom desperately *wants* to help, in case anything we learned is useful. I get it. But OW.

  6. October is breast cancer awareness month. Fun fact: Pressure from mammograms do not "pop" an existing tumor & spread it. Why? Because breast tumors (eg. DCIS) are composed of cells that form connective tissue. They are literally disorganized solid masses of cells mixed w/dense fibrous tissue.🧪

  7. Cancer gets to everyone. Even newborns. Deanna focuses on a cure for her baby. When her husband raises questions of quality of life vs. quantity, she chooses to seek treatment options alone and risks not just the life of her baby, but her relationship with her family as well. ⏰📚💙✍️ #FindABookFriday

My mother ended up on external oxygen, lost the hearing in one ear, and the ability to walk after her bout with covid. If that doctor hard about her, he would explode.

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
