  1. Yesterday was #WorldFoodDay and, frankly, our sentiment should be much the same. My basic answer for “what is politics + why does it matter”: Hunger isn’t a production issue — we produce enough to feed the world. So, if it’s not production? Politics. Solutions exist. Food exists. Power interferes.

this is another form of capture, capturing civil/ human rights language & law to end those rights. to claim victimhood for those who have more power, to say it oppresses them if they can not oppress those who are below them in their power hierarchies. the playbook is racial authoritarianism.

I firmly believe literally none of the people inside these companies believe even a little bit that their systems are, are likely to be, or will become anytime soon sentient in the requisite way that cursing them out causes them harm. If they did and weren’t evil we’d hear more about slavery.

  4. I think human relationships are too fragile. I always have that feeling in the back of mind that someone will dislike me just because I don't like their favourite thing. But its often always the case too. Cause people get so let down by differences. I never stop being honest though about what I like

Yesterday I told my wife who’s in therapy services in the hospital here that if you say “AI” now you’re an enemy of the state, and now we say “SI” to which she responds “yeah that’s Suicidal Ideation”

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
