This!! Also and I say this because I come from a broadly "security" rather than "safety" space - systems that do not function within specifications are not rationalisable to the democratic public.

  2. One time I called a complaint line and I swore with great skill at the chatbot until a person answered my call. They told me not to be 'rude to our automated employees' and I was consequently VERY FUCKING RUDE but that was the day I realized they're recording everything while you're on hold.

Anyone who believes that a #MoralAgreement or any sort of self policing will keep us safe from #AI misdeeds is unwell. Without source code governance under #Asimov' laws, & a kill switch that works at velocity of IT agents, we will likely be doomed. #Legislate, motherfuckers!

We passed laws in the 1990s making it a serious felony for a human being to even attempt this shit. These laws should apply to the individual people who direct AI tools to attempt or complete the same tasks.

  6. Does anyone know -- if I were to disclose Personally Identifiable Information to an AI Agent impersonating an actual person would I be liable for the 10K fine that comes from a PII data breach?

Protect your work. Protect your mind. Protect your privacy (as much as possible). Perhaps most crucially, protect your inner eye. AI is hellbent on stealing our livelihoods, our lives, our minds, even our souls. I will never voluntarily play in that minefield.

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
