Name. This has more to do with the way our psyche works than anything else. EVERYTHING hangs off of a name for us. And it's all we need to start writing, usually. Change the name and it changes the character. #WeeknightWriters

I have some really great names, courtesy of the name randomizer in Stardew Valley. I have chickens named Pulley, Frarley, Grumbus, and Gra. They’d be fun to put in a story, and you had to decide what they were like based on their weird names.

  3. my mom was so thoroughly convinced i was going to be a girl that she didn’t have a boy name picked out and the only one my parents could agree on last-minute, they had already given to the cat. they gave me the cat’s name, and renamed the cat. i made the original girl name my new middle name.

gonna need goyim (mostly white goyim, but what else is new) to be less weird about names. many ethnicities use multiple names! it's pretty common to have different names across different languages! id say go ask ur chinese friends, for example, but guessing they don't have any 🙃

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
