#QueerWritersChat A2: I feel like the answer is no, partially because half the stuff they encounter in their daily waking life could have easily walked out of a horror story.

#QueerWritersChat lol I don't think most of my characters would be aware of horror as a *genre*. Only Bombshell would be, and she's more into drama Though I could see Kyra repeating the spooky stories, at the right time of year. When the world is thin #QueerWriters #writesky #writers
Q2 - My MCs both enjoy horror when that horror is inflicted on bullies or abusers - Tav reads that with glee (and might just join in.) Philip with guilty relief -- and he sometimes flips to the showdown bc damned if he wouldn't like to be able to do that in his own life ... 😣 #QueerWritersChat

#QueerWritersChat A2: Oooh, good question. I haven't delved much into what Ness reads since she's usually plotting heists. That said, she has anxiety, so her brain already creates horrific scenarios for her. I don't think she'd view reading horror as fun?

#QueerWritersChat Oh, sure! He's not a HUGE horror aficionado, but he has a soft spot for it. Very much relates to things like XENOFORM and THAT. Just feels an inexplicable kinship with them. Monsters from another planet, or another realm altogether. They make sense to him.

#QueerWritersChat Lee from the SciFi WIP probably likes slasher movies and stuff like that, but not the more cerebral stuff. He's a bit of a fuckboy. Allegra would like literary gothic horror.
Since we’re doing horror, check out my subgenre horror personality UQuiz for funsies: uquiz.com/quiz/eltq2D/... I have some published horror linked on my website: theodoresnapdragon.com/published-wo... And I have a KoFi if you like what I do! ko-fi.com/transcendrag... #QueerWritersChat

#QueerWritersChat Gage vs a slasher would be an interesting story. Lazarus, Carmine and Owen ARE in horror stories. The former two are menaced by an eldritch-god-worshipping mob boss and the latter has a toxic relationship with a villainous vampire, plus encounters other gothic nasties. It's fun!

#QueerWritersChat I think Lunaris might be extremely fearful of a saw situation happening to them. They would be smart enough to get out alive tho I think.

#QueerWritersChat Im gonna use the TTL/PH gang to answer since Nori is so new to me. Lunaris does not like horror but Amon deeply does (penny in the opposites jar) Lunaris gets scared very easily. Amon does too but he likes it.

#QueerWritersChat 4: Definitely demons, since that actually will be a threat in later books ahaha

#QueerWritersChat Setsune is terrified of the demon infecting her brain. Makes her see things and haunts her dreams #QueerWriters #writesky #writers
Well, when it comes to “Unintended Designs”, Gen Ishee is in a horror novel! Makes it hard to explain because there’s a strong element of mystery to the novel. I suppose you can say he’s threatened by the unknown… #QueerWritersChat

#QueerWritersChat #WritingSky #WritingCommunity For Bethany? A supernatural stalker of the Bluebeard variety *Bluebeard is pretty much a fairy tale horror imo

Gil definitely does, especially horror that's a little sexy (they are a romance editor with a fear kink, after all). they'd be very into the horrormance trend. Brant is even moreso a horror guy, especially weird/psychological stuff. Callum not so much, he gets scared easily. #queerwriterschat

#QueerWritersChat ⚔️🌿🌼 Sterling: if the witch that cursed him ever came back to haunt him. Elias: his past Avery: being hunted by an angry mob 🗡️🩸 Askel: HE’S the threat, SO it’d be if his killings were discovered. Isulf: losing a fight with a monster
Rollan... would like everyone to know that at times, he feels like his story is enough of a horror that no, he would not enjoy it. Kellem might depending on the type. Slashers would annoy him. He knows ghosts personally, so maybe. Most others would be fun. #QueerWritersChat
- @applesncinnamon.bsky.socialBluesky
#QueerWritersChat Q2 🐝I don't think that Micah would. He'd be more of a romcom or fantasy romance guy. 🌼Galen would find the injuries and the like in horror movies unrealistic and he could be annoying to watch them with. Sasha would like slasher movies, I think! 🏚️Milo would not. He'd watch them
I think I’ll answer for my scifi horror novel “Unintended Designs” for this chat! I also have some horror shorts but UD is my love. Gen isn’t really a horror person. He might see something with friends, but wouldn’t seek it out on his own. He likes comfort fiction. #QueerWritersChat
