  1. A triangle or two L-shapes: What should the Einstein Telescope look like? Researchers at the @mpi_grav in Potsdam contribute to the comparative report on detector geometries. ℹ️ aei.mpg.de/1518704/a-triangle-… The “Geometry Comparison Report” was submitted to the Einstein Telescope Board of Governmental Representatives. The document is intended to support decision-making and to serve as a knowledge resource for the project. #EinsteinTelescope #GravitationalWaves #Research #Science #Astrophysics

  2. Captured with a 45mm shifting and tilt/swing lens and a DSLR camera. A bit of swing kept the side of the trestle in sharp focus, and a bit of shift maintained the geometry with the framing. The long, tall, Alhambra Viaduct on the BNSF railroad is also known as the "John Muir Trestle". People far bolder than I had tagged it with graffiti. This is mostly a study in lines and convergence. Infrastructure is heroic.

  3. TBF good on UE for handling this index buffer overrun surprisingly gracefully. It asserted in `FMeshBatch::Validate` to let me know I'd biffed it, and even managed to keep running for the most part, since it just rejects the batch and doesn't pass it to the GPU (at least in non-shipping mode). It only crashed if I tried to select the geometry in the editor. UE, not crashing? Miracles do happen 😜 But fair dos, credit where due

  4. A younger Misago would have jumped at the chance to study history more seriously, especially after getting derailed at his school for arcane magicks, mathematics, and geometry (because the needed a tutor who could do it!). But after experiencing the Studium during EW, #MisagoLore

Search looks through the last 36 hours of public posts for your words, "exact phrases", #hashtags, @handles and websites, and also finds posts about the same thing by meaning. New posts join about every 10 minutes. We only include posts whose authors allow logged-out viewing (Bluesky) or search (Mastodon, indexable accounts), and we re-check Bluesky authors each time we show a page. Likes and follower counts never decide the order. For meaning matches, query text is turned into a fingerprint on Wildroot’s own server (EmbeddingGemma-300M); it is never sent to another service. Wildroot does not save query text to disk. Looking for posts like one you have? Similar posts. How to opt out.
